Last week in Kuala Lumpur, Mastercard Strive partners from across Asia joined business leaders, innovators, and social impact investors at the ASEAN Inclusive Growth Summit, hosted by the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth. During Changemakers Day, co-hosted with Caribou, many of our partners shared incredible insights from their Mastercard Strive programs: Anthea Mulakala, The Asia Foundation Hai Nam Bui, SoBanHang (Finan Pte Ltd) Bintang Ekananda, Alner Dorron Mottes, &frnds Lucinda Revell, Boost Capital Aset Begaly, BEKSAR Afsana Zarin, ShopUp Ragde Falcis, ChatGenie.PH (Techstars `23) Ajaita S., Frontier Markets Sarah Hewitt, CARE Through a series of discussion panels, pitches, and debates, they offered valuable learnings on how they’re working with small businesses, meeting them where they are to deliver tailored digital solutions and practical resources that help them grow and become more competitive and resilient. We didn’t just discuss barriers for small businesses in the region, we dove deep into the opportunities digital transformation can unlock. From cybersecurity and innovative financing to inclusive design models and youth-led innovation, the conversations reflected the energy and ideas shaping inclusive innovation and the future of small businesses.
