Today we publish the Grangemouth Industrial Cluster Strategy, setting out a detailed plan for the cluster’s future by aligning industry, community and government to realise the opportunity for Grangemouth as a world class location for green energy and sustainable fuels and chemicals. This important piece of work, led by Scottish Enterprise in partnership with the Grangemouth Future Industries Board, will play a key role in guiding funding and policy decisions to shape the region’s long-term future. Six months after the publication of Project Willow’s recommendations, which set out key economic and industrial opportunities, this new strategy goes a step further by providing a clear delivery roadmap. Immediate priorities include agreeing an industrial masterplan to consider land use, establishing a cluster management organisation to oversee delivery, and developing strong investor relations to attract sustainable industries and provide investor confidence. The strategy also highlights the importance of continued engagement with the local community to ensure industrial growth is matched by real social and environmental benefits for residents. Grangemouth is at a pivotal point in its transition. The area remains vital to our economy and, if we succeed, it could become the global blueprint for delivering a just transition that benefits both industry and the local community. #Grangemouth #JustTransition #EnergyTransition https://lnkd.in/eQV7qv5A Scottish Enterprise The Scottish Government Scotland Office Department for Energy Security and Net Zero Falkirk Council Forth Valley College Forth Green Freeport Scottish Futures Trust Skills Development Scotland FSB Scotland Scottish Environment Protection Agency CVS Falkirk & District Arup Unite the Union Scottish Trades Union Congress (STUC)
