As Business Operations Officer, Lindsay plays a key role in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. With a career that’s taken her from classrooms to consulates to creative agencies, Lindsay brings a broad skill set to the Academy, but it’s her passion for building a positive workplace culture that really shines through. ☕ We sat down to talk with Lindsay recently to learn more about Lindsay’s story, her work at UCC Academy, and why she’s now a proud Rebel. A big congratulations to Alicia O'Neill and Shauna Quinlan on winning the Customer Care Award in the 2025 UCC Staff Recognition Awards and the Campus Companies Staff Recognition Awards. 🏆 This award is in recognition of their commitment to the service they provide to the Global Engagement Office and wider UCC partners. Their efforts directly support Goal 3, Global Engagement, of UCC’s Strategic Plan and they do so with a level of professionalism and care that is truly remarkable. Together, they are a formidable team. Their impact is felt across the University and with UCC Global’s teams in China, North America, South Asia and UCC’s panel of Agent recruiters. 🌍 The nomination highlighted how their distinct skills seamlessly combine to deliver outstanding and reliable results, navigating complex communications, compliance, and stakeholder relationships with precision and grace - all while maintaining a warm, collegial, and customer-focused approach. Their work exemplifies the very best of what we strive for at UCC Academy: excellence, collaboration, and value. 🌟 We had a lovely evening of celebration with our UCC and Subsidiary colleagues in the Aula Maxima earlier this week. Congratulations again to Alicia and Shauna as well as the other recipients across UCC and Subsidiary companies! 👏 University College Cork | Ursula Kilkelly

📊 “Business intelligence is like having headlights on a dark road. It doesn’t just help you see what’s ahead, it lets you choose the best route.” Since joining UCC Academy in April, Nikhil Gharu, PMP® has been helping illuminate that road. As Business Intelligence Analyst, he supports smarter decision-making across the Academy through data insights, process optimisation, and collaborative reporting. 🌏 Originally from Chandigarh, India, Nikhil has lived in Ireland for two years and recently relocated from Dublin to make Cork his home. From cheering on Cork in Gaelic football to recommending local South Indian cuisine, he’s quickly found his rhythm-and his community. 📖 Click on the link below to learn more about Nikhil, his work, and why culture and connection matter just as much as metrics. https://lnkd.in/e5s_DDHf #WeAreUCCAcademy #EmployeeSpotlight #BusinessIntelligence #PureCork

UCC Academy reposted this A message from the President of University College Cork (UCC), Professor John O'Halloran "As we begin a new term at UCC, it is important to pause and reflect on what makes our community strong. At the heart of UCC is our diverse community of students and staff - people who bring with them different cultures, languages, perspectives and lived experiences. This richness of backgrounds and ideas is central to who we are as a university and strengthens our teaching, learning and research." https://lnkd.in/e9e4iEjb
