The real reason your customers aren't buying ↳ Hint: Your creative isn't the problem Most DTC brands are burning ad spend ignoring what customers ACTUALLY think. I've analyzed over 50 ad accounts this year, and found these 5 customer objections are killing your sales: 1. Lack of Need     "I don't need this" → Identify your customer's EXACT pain point → Show the desired end state they desperately want → Position your product as the only bridge between pain and pleasure 2. Lack of Understanding     "I don't get it" → Make your product dead simple to understand → Show, don't tell - visuals convert better than words → Front-load benefits in the first 3 seconds of your ad 3. Lack of Trust     "This won't work for me" → Use real customer testimonial mashups → Run ads through whitelisted creator accounts → Include third-party validation (press, awards, certifications) 4. Lack of Budget     "It's too expensive" → Focus on ROI, not just price → Test different offers to find price-value sweet spot → Use bundles to increase AOV while adding perceived value 5. Lack of Urgency     "I'll buy later" → Create time-sensitive offers that drive action → Demonstrate the cost of waiting → Use scarcity when authentic (limited stock, time-bound offers) Address these 5 objections in your ad creative, and your conversion rates will double. Your competitors are ignoring these. You shouldn't.

The worst-kept secret in ecommerce is out in the open. OpenAI launched checkout, initially partnering with Shopify, Etsy and Stripe to enable direct purchases from ChatGPT. 🛍️ Shopify merchants will be able to sell directly through ChatGPT "very very soon". 🥣 US users will be able to buy from US Etsy sellers through ChatGPT as of yesterday. Etsy shares popped +16% on the announcement . 🌐 OpenAI also partnered with Stripe to build the Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP) to allow others to integrate. Want to show product prices per unit (g, ml, ft, etc.)? This feature is now available to all Shopify stores: You can set up unit pricing for your products. This was initially only possible for stores in Germany and France. Then became available to more European countries. And now it's available to every Shopify store. Important: This doesn't mean you can have calculated prices. You still can't let the customer input any measurement, e.g. between 0 and 2000mm. That would require 2000 variants - not yet available. Instead: Unit pricing is only for display purposes. (In some cases it's a legal requirement.) Prices of products will appear like this: $7 $10.00 / kg They're shown almost everywhere: - Product page - Collection and search - Cart and checkout - Emails How to set it up? On the admin product or variant page, click Unit price. On the "Total amount" field, input how much of what unit the product is. E.g. if you're selling a steak that's 700g, you'll input "700" and "g". On the "Base measure" field, input the right side of the pricing. Typically you'll input "1" and then the unit you want to show, e.g. "kg". You can even use "item" to show something like: $3 / each This is a very useful feature. Because previously, you had to rely on custom code. Which also usually needed a metafield for the unit data. Note: Ensure your theme supports it. If it doesn't, it may not be an official theme - my advice is to only choose official themes, free or paid. #shopify #shopifyplus #ecommerce

Stop treating Shopify apps like growth hacks. I audit multiple Shopify stores every week. The lowest I’ve seen recently? 40 apps. That’s not a growth stack - it’s dead weight. Here’s why: → Apps add technical bloat More apps = slower load times = worse UX. → Apps eat your margins $99/month doesn’t sound like much… Until you’ve got 10+ apps silently draining thousands per year. → Apps drain resources Installation takes 5 minutes. But the real process - researching, setting it up properly, integrating with your team - can take days. If there’s no clear strategy, those days are wasted. So how do you decide if an app is worth it? I use a similar prioritisation process to A/B testing: 1. Is this need backed by customer research? 2. Does the data support it? 3. Do we have a clear strategy for using it? 4. Do we have the resource to manage it long-term? 5. Do we already have something that does this? If you can’t tick those boxes, don’t install it. Every extra app chips away at speed, margin, and focus. Audit your stack like you’d audit your funnel - ruthlessly.
