Dr Paul Deane received the award for the Irish TIMES Energy Modelling Project which is a flagship research project investigating how Ireland’s Energy System will evolve and develop out to the year 2050. The Irish TIMES computer model provides a detailed representation of all key sectors in the Irish Energy System namely; power generation, transport, heating and agriculture.
