Proud to have co-created the Circular Venture Blueprint— a practical guide for ESOs supporting #circulareconomy ventures. We joined other leading organisations from #Bengaluru and #Nairobi to tackle a shared challenge: "how do we effectively support circular economy ventures?" The result: frameworks for evaluating circular business models, measuring impact, and understanding the unique market dynamics circular ventures face. Whether you're starting your circular economy journey or strengthening existing programmes, this blueprint provides practical tools you can use immediately. Drawing from our collective experiences supporting real ventures on the ground, the Blueprint provides: Clear guidance on supporting circular ventures Tools and methodologies from real ecosystem experiences Case studies from the ground Download: https://bit.ly/432vWdt Thanks to Climate KIC, GrowthAfrica, SecondMuse, the team at International Council for Circular Economy and fellow organisations for the collaboration and your wonderful insights that helped to build the guide. #CircularEconomy #Entrepreneurship #SustainableInnovation #EcosystemBuilding #CEIC NVIDIA for Startups Start-Up India Guidance Tamil Nadu AIC Banasthali Vidyapith Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) - IIIM IIITD Innovation & Incubation Center

International Council for Circular Economy reposted this
📢 Exciting news! The new edition of the Journal on #CircularEconomy is coming out this Friday! This time, I had the pleasure of serving as Guest Editor for a special issue dedicated to #WasteManagement, published by the International Council for Circular Economy (ICCE). Join us for the official launch webinar on Friday at 10:30 AM CET (3:00 PM IST) — a space where policymakers, researchers, and practitioners will come together to explore how circular thinking can drive a waste-free future. 🔗 Register here: https://lnkd.in/dA_5hqfU 💡 What to expect in this edition: This issue explores “Waste Management” from multiple angles — innovative approaches, policy interventions, and success stories that are shaping the future of sustainable resource use. I particularly want to highlight the article “Transitioning to Zero Waste” by Cecilia Allen (GAIA), which beautifully connects zero waste practices to climate action and their multiple co-benefits. 🌱 As I shared in my editorial: “The #CircularEconomy is more than the opposite of ‘take–make–dispose.’ True circularity is about looping with purpose: 🌿 Slow loops – keeping products in use longer ♻️ Lean loops – reducing material throughput 🏘️ Local loops – keeping value within communities 💧 Clean loops – removing toxins from cycles ☀️ Sustainable loops – powered by renewables 🌾 Regenerative loops – restoring ecosystems and livelihoods.” #OrganicWaste management is one of the clearest examples of how these principles come alive — a “low-hanging fruit” with outsized benefits for climate, soils, and livelihoods. Yet it still doesn’t get the attention it deserves. This issue aims to change that. 📖 Below are some sneak peeks of the articles you’ll be able to explore once the full edition is released this Friday. Let’s continue shaping loops that are slow, lean, local, clean, sustainable, and regenerative — not only closing waste streams but opening new possibilities for people and the planet. 🌍 GAIA (Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives) Shalini Goyal Bhalla Axel Darut Global Methane Hub UMI Fund Zero Waste Europe European Environmental Bureau Nehal Arora Dhiraj Santdasani Soumya Garnaik Dr. Ketna Matkar Dr. Ruby Makhija Edward Clarence-Smith Gomathy Radhakrishna Iyer, Ph.D, P.E Amit Dubey TAVISHI DARBARI Zigisha Mhaskar Srikrishna Balachandran Prakash Dutt Kavita Bhardwaj UNDP UN Environment Programme World Circular Economy Forum WCEF #WCEF2026 Sitra Circle Economy Circular Innovation Lab ApS African Circular Economy Network (ACEN) Africa Circular Chatham House Apoorva Arya Arpit Bhutani Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH GIZ India The SMEP Programme Climate & Clean Air Coalition Climate KIC Asian Development Bank (ADB) Agence Française de Développement
