Honored to have Shri Chhagan Bhujbal (Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, Maharashtra) inaugurate Zeno Health’s 5th medical store in Nashik. With this launch, our presence in Maharashtra has grown to 204 stores, taking us one step closer to our vision of making quality medicines accessible and affordable for every household. The new store at Maharana Pratap Chowk Road, Prabhat Colony, CIDCO will serve the people of Nashik with the same promise we stand for - quality, trust, and huge savings on medicines. Costs and supply need to be steady so patients can stay on track without any additional financial or mental burdens. 3. Clear information. Without it, there's no real progress. If India at 100 is to be healthier than India at 79, we need systems that protect households from medical debt, keep pricing transparent and ensure the same quality of care, regardless of where one stays. Imagine needing urgent care and having no idea how much it will cost until the bill arrives. I recently read about the NHS (National Cost Collection publication) in the UK making hospital pricing public. This isn’t just about showing numbers; it’s about giving people the right to know what their care will cost. In India, healthcare spending is projected to rise to 5% of GDP by 2030. Transparent pricing could make a real difference, not just to protect patients from surprise costs but to restore the trust that healthcare should be built on. Healthcare pricing is complicated, but that doesn't mean it should remain unclear. As India continues to develop its healthcare infrastructure, we need to ask: Can our hospitals, pharmacies and systems speak the language of trust clearly, without the fine print?
