Bengaluru-based startup BQP has raised an oversubscribed $4.9 million seed round, pushing its total funding to $6.6 million. The round was led by Monta Vista Capital, with participation from New York Ventures, Arc Ventures, Armory Square Ventures, Emergent Ventures, and existing backers like Paradigm Shift Capital and Griffiss Institute. The funds will fuel the expansion of BQP’s flagship platform, BQPhy, which targets mission-critical sectors including aerospace, defence, and semiconductors. This milestone comes on the heels of BQP’s pilot agreement with the Air Force Research Laboratory’s (AFRL) Aerospace Systems Directorate under a CRADA, aimed at developing quantum-accelerated simulation tools. Founder and CEO Abhishek Chopra emphasized the real-world impact, stating, “The traction we’re experiencing from AFRL/RQ and industry-leading design partners validates the immediate impact and substantial ROI our platform delivers today.” BQPhy is built for hybrid computing systems, leveraging CPUs, GPUs, and quantum machines. The current platform offers a 10x speed boost using quantum-inspired solvers, while the upcoming quantum-native versions aim to scale up to 1000x on future quantum hardware. Roger Krakoff of Monta Vista Capital highlighted the market potential, saying, “BQP directly tackles critical bottlenecks in the rapidly evolving $22 billion simulation industry.” BQP is also working closely with top-tier partners, including India’s Ministry of Heavy Industries, ABB, and a tier-1 aerospace manufacturer. Elevation Capital launches $400 million late-stage fund to back IPO-bound startups 📌 Venture capital firm Elevation Capital, known for early bets on Paytm, Swiggy, Meesho, and Urban Company, is entering new territory. The firm has launched a $400 million fund focused on late-stage tech companies preparing for IPOs. ● The vehicle, called Elevation Holding, will cut cheques between $20 million and $50 million across 10–15 companies, Elevation Capital co-managing partner Mukul Arora told ET. ● This new fund will primarily back companies in the consumer and financial services segments with a technology focus, Arora added. ● The fund will run in parallel with its Fund VIII, a $670 million early-stage vehicle that invests $2–5 million in startups. Home Services Startup Pronto Raises $11M to Scale Across Indian Cities.! Pronto, a home services startup launched in April 2025, has raised $11 million (₹96 crore) in a funding round co-led by General Catalyst and Glade Brook Capital. Bain Capital Ventures also participated. The company is now valued at $45 million (₹394 crore). Founded by Anjali Sardana, Pronto helps households in Gurugram book reliable professionals for cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, and basic meal prep. The platform runs on a shift-based model that allows for 10-minute fulfillment. This system also ensures workers get steady shifts and higher wages. With the new funding, Pronto plans to train and onboard 10,000 professionals, invest in quality control, and build out real-time tech to manage operations more efficiently. Over the next 12 to 18 months, the startup will expand to Mumbai, Bengaluru, and other metro areas. It’s planning to set up local micro-hubs in residential clusters to speed up service times. Pronto charges per task, with an average order size of ₹200–₹300.
