Creating custom admin Views in Drupal? Don't forget to update the access permissions or you might leak unpublished content online. Here's the common mistake and how to fix it: ➡️ Default Views use "view published content" permission ➡️ Anonymous users typically have this permission by default ➡️ This means anyone with the direct URL can access your admin page ➡️ Even unpublished content information can leak to unauthorized users ➡️ Always change permissions immediately after creating admin Views Better permission approach: ➡️ Use "access the content overview page" permission instead ➡️ This matches the permission needed for the main content admin page ➡️ Ensures only users who can manage content can access your custom View ➡️ Blocks anonymous access and shows login page to unauthorized users The key is thinking about who should actually see this data. Save this, pick the easiest fix for your store, and track how many metrics it moves.
