As a satirical superhero film, Deadpool 2 subverts traditional heroic narratives and portrays a protagonist who operates outside moral and societal norms. The study applies a qualitative descriptive method to examine the duality within Deadpool's character-his shift between self-interest and selfsacrifice-and how this reflects a critique of the classic American Dream. The film reimagines success, freedom, and legacy, not as a linear rise to wealth or status, but as a chaotic path driven by loss, pain, and reluctant redemption. By analyzing key scenes, character dynamics, and thematic contrasts, the research uncovers how Deadpool 2 deconstructs the idealized image of the American Dream and replaces it with a more fragmented, ironic version. Through the anti-hero's lens, the pursuit of happiness is portrayed as inconsistent, flawed, and often brutal-requiring not perfection, but emotional truth and personal growth. Ultimately, the film suggests that the American Dream is no longer about perfection or conformity, but about reclaiming agency and meaning in an imperfect world.
