Final Consortium Meeting Kick-off in Rimini, Italy! 🇮🇹 This week marks the start of the last consortium meeting of the AT LAST project in the beautiful city of #Rimini, with partners joining us from Belgium, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and the Netherlands! 🗓️ Day 1 highlights: Our first day focused on the pilot municipalities participating in AT LAST — sharing their latest updates, insights, and challenges. The open discussion that followed provided a great opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen collaboration across countries and work packages. We were also pleased to have our Project Officer from CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (LIFE Clean Energy Transition Programme), Loar Halleröd, join us remotely and follow the sessions, providing valuable feedback and guidance on the project’s progress. To wrap up the day, we enjoyed a guided tour of Rimini, exploring “Il Parco del Mare”, a major redevelopment project of the city’s seafront. This inspiring initiative is progressively transforming 16 km of coastline into vibrant, open-air living spaces focused on wellbeing, sustainability, and green mobility, featuring lush green areas, cycling and walking paths, sports facilities, and playgrounds. It was a perfect way to close the first day of this meeting — connecting our project’s goals with real-life examples of sustainable urban transformation. 🌿🚴♀️🌊 The consortium will continue its activities with a visit to ECOMONDO - ITALIAN EXHIBITION GROUP to explore the latest innovations and best practices in the fields of sustainability, circular economy, and environmental technologies. 🌱 Stay updated! #Sustainability #UrbanInnovation #EUProjects Agenzia per l'Energia e lo Sviluppo Sostenibile SEI – Stockholm Environment Institute Klimaatverbond Nederland VVSG REVOLVE Transition Stories BV

🔥 AT LAST Case Video – District Heating Network Ostend 🇧🇪 How can citizens take the lead in the energy transition? The new AT LAST video highlights BeauVent cv, a citizen cooperative bringing together more than 9,000 members who invest their savings in renewable energy, from solar and wind to the large-scale district heating network in Ostend. 🎤 In this video from Transition Stories BV, the project manager Jeroen Soenens shares how collaboration, long-term vision, and citizen investment turned an idea from 2012 into a functioning urban heating grid today. The project connects: 🌡️ IVO and Biostoom waste plants as renewable heat sources 🏥 Hospitals, industries, and apartment buildings across the city 👥 Over 1,000 customers are using a digital platform to track their energy use Since 2019, the Ostend network has delivered more than 100 million kWh of renewable heat: equivalent to the yearly energy use of 20,000 appartments, cutting CO₂ emissions and setting an example for climate-neutral cities. This case shows how local energy cooperatives can make sustainable heat accessible, affordable, and community-driven. 🎥 Watch the full video “Case: District Heating Network Ostend”: https://lnkd.in/dFrw5v6C and explore more free courses and case studies on our AT LAST e-learning platform 👉https://atlast.academy

💡 AT LAST project taking shape in Carpi! An inspiring initiative bringing together Agenzia per l'Energia e lo Sviluppo Sostenibile (#AESS), the Comune di Carpi, and local stakeholders in the co-design of a more sustainable, functional, and people-friendly industrial space. 🌱 This participatory process is a crucial step towards urban regeneration and climate adaptation, a concrete example of how the AT LAST project supports the green transition across cities in Europe. 🇪🇺
#ATLAST #rigenerazioneurbana #adattamentoclimatico #mobilitàsostenibile #partecipazione #coesione #transizioneverde #AESS

Inspiring insights from the AT LAST Community of Practice meeting hosted by Klimaatverbond Nederland 🌿 At Dazo Arnhem, the residents' collective explored how to truly be involved in the energy transition, with great examples from Gemeente Arnhem, DeBlauweWij(k)Economie, and others showing how collaboration, trust, and local empowerment make a real difference. AT LAST is about building both sustainable neighbourhoods and stronger communities 💪💚. 👏 Thanks to everyone involved: Liset Meddens, Yuri van Bergen, Patrick Hoogenbosch, BouwhulpGroep, Gemeente Ridderkerk, Gemeente Horst aan de Maas, Gemeente Veenendaal, Gemeente Hoorn, Gemeente Berkelland, Wouter Horn, Lou Brandjes, Ruben Blom, Femke Duijvekam, Sjoerd Theeuwen, Marc van der Burght, Haico van Nunen
🌱 𝐇𝐨𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐤 𝐣𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐰𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐛𝐢𝐣 𝐝𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐝𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐮𝐫𝐭? Deze vraag stond vorige week maandag centraal tijdens de Community of Practice AT LAST.

🌍 Supporting Europe’s Green Industrial Transition The AT LAST project is contributing to Europe’s collective journey towards a sustainable, circular, and climate-neutral economy. By working together with other European initiatives, we aim to support each other’s efforts and accelerate the energy transition across the continent. That’s why we want to present one crucial element of this shift: the Hubs4Circularity (H4Cs) – regional ecosystems that enable industrial symbiosis and circular value chains. Together with Processes4Planet Partnership, the Hubs4Circularity Community of Practice (H4C CoP) has developed a #WhitePaper with clear recommendations on how policy, funding, and operational support can help H4Cs grow and deliver impact. 📖 Explore the full White Paper: https://lnkd.in/dKub8TQH 📌 Or read the summary: https://lnkd.in/dY9FGqCJ Not yet part of the community?
