Global CTA: The Erice Statement on Molecular Life Sciences Education 👉 Sign · Share · Join the Network In October 2024, more than sixty scientists, educators, and institutional representatives from Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia gathered at the Ettore Majorana Foundation and Centre for Scientific Culture in Erice, Italy, for the International School of Science Education (ISSE) on Molecular Biology Learning and Education. From that exchange, a shared vision emerged. Now expressed in the Erice Statement on the Critical Importance of Molecular Life Sciences Education, it calls for providing all high school students with an education that: • Inspire curiosity and wonder about the molecular foundations of life; • Engage learners through inquiry and authentic practice; • Empower critical, evidence-based thinking; • Foster respect for science as a dynamic, evolving process. 📢 We invite you to endorse the Erice Statement, share it widely, and join this emerging international network to make molecular literacy a cornerstone of education and responsible citizenship. By linking the many efforts already under way, we can turn molecular understanding into a collective force for awareness, trust, and responsibility. Through partnerships with cooperatives and companies in cocoa, coffee, fresh produce, nuts, and cotton, Elucid provides 🩺 affordable healthcare solutions while generating valuable social, health, and economic data that supports sustainability and ethical sourcing.
