🛰️ #AIT @ OHB Italia S.p.A. : WHERE INTEGRATION BUILDS RELIABILITY, AND RELIABILITY BUILDS INTEGRATION The Assembly, Integration & Testing (#AIT) function is far more than the final step before launch: it’s the core of satellite system integration. Every subsystem (mechanical, electrical, thermal, software and optical) is brought together, verified and validated under representative space conditions. AIT is the true multidisciplinary crossroads of a project: ➡️ it requires seamless #coordination among engineering domains ➡️ validates system #performance and interfaces ➡️ certifies that the spacecraft meets mission #requirements before delivery. Beyond its technical value, AIT also reflects the maturity, reliability and #reputation of the system integrator. A well-structured AIT capability is the mark of an organization that can manage the full spacecraft lifecycle: from concept to orbit. We’re now strengthening our team: OHB Italia S.p.A. is searching an AIT MANAGER in Milan for immediate start. YOU will act as focal point for all AIT activities within a project, coordinating multidisciplinary resources, defining AIT flows and schedules, ensuring quality compliance, and leading integration and test campaigns up to launch. What is required? 🔵 Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent) 🔵 5+ years of AIT experience 🔵 Fluent in English Apply NOW on: https://lnkd.in/dA9RcgxE 👉 Please NOTE: More AIT-related openings will follow soon! Stay tuned if you want to take part in building Europe’s next-generation spacecraft. #OHBItalia #AIT #SpaceEngineering #SatelliteIntegration #SystemEngineering #AerospaceJobs #Milano #WeCreateSpace www.ohb-italia.it

"BIKE TO WORK" – OHB Italia S.p.A. pedala, corre, sfreccia verso un futuro sostenibile! #IoCiSto #OHBItalia #DoubleYou #WelfareManagement #Zucchetti #Sustainability #BikeToWork #GreenMobility #ClimateAction #TeamOHB #SaveThePlanet #LoveForEarth www.ohb-italia.it

🚀 SAVE THE DATE: 13 April 2029 – 23:46 CEST On that night, something unprecedented will unfold above our heads. For the first time in history, humanity will have the chance to closely observe a Near-Earth asteroid as it makes an unprecedented close approach to our Planet. The target? To study how Earth’s gravity affects the internal structure of a small celestial body. The visitor is #Apophis, a "peanut-shaped" asteroid about 370 metres long (roughly three football fields), which will pass at just 31,000 km from Earth, that is 5,000 km below geostationary orbit. An encounter of such proximity has never been recorded before. To study this exceptional encounter in real time, Europe is preparing #RAMSES, a fast-paced ESA mission led by OHB Italia S.p.A., designed to rendezvous with Apophis shortly after the flyby. What makes this even more extraordinary is the #timeline: while a mission of this complexity would normally require ten years, RAMSES must be ready for launch by April 2028, in just four years from go-ahead (and one has already passed!). There is no room for delays. As Angelo Vallerani, Head of Institutional Relations at OHB Italia S.p.A. , notes: “It is a race against time.” RAMSES will deploy optical and spectroscopic #cameras to analyse the asteroid’s chemical composition, together with a plasma #spectrometer to study how the solar wind interacts with its surface. Why does this matter? Because asteroids are #timecapsules: primordial relics from the early Solar System, unchanged for 4.5 billion years. Understanding their interior structure brings us closer to answering a centuries-old question: how do planets form and how do the conditions for life emerge? It is also a powerful exercise in #PlanetaryDefence: if one day an asteroid ever posed a concrete threat, the capability to prepare and launch a mission rapidly could make the difference. And the best part? On 13 April 2029, Apophis will be visible from Earth as a moving point of light for several hours. We will all be able to witness the moment before RAMSES chases it down in deep space. The #countdown has begun. RAMSES is coming. #IRIDE – OPERATIONAL BACKBONE ON THE GROUND In view of the upcoming launch of the Eaglet II satellites for IRIDE mission, the #GroundSegment team of OHB Italia S.p.A. is carrying out the final operational activities at the Mission Control Center in Rome. As shown in the images, OHB Italia S.p.A.’s staff is working hard on configuration checks, acquisition planning and system validation to ensure a smooth transition from separation to the early satellite operations. The Flight Operations Segment (#FOS) is a core element of IRIDE/Eaglet II constellation, enabling secure signal reception, satellite control and the continuous monitoring required from the very first contact.....Because the first steps of the mission are built on ground expertise. Stay tuned for future updates! www.ohb-italia.it #IRIDEConstellation #MadeInItalySpace #EarthObservation #OHBItalia #ESA #ASI
