Huge thanks to my brilliant speakers for the insightful discussion, Karol Leszczyński (Comarch), Federico Avellán Borgmeyer (efcom) and Wayne Mills! 🔍 Key takeaways: ✅Current landscape in CEE: According to our WOA Digital study, 30 factoring companies offer digital applications, and 20 have fully digital processes—10 of which are in Poland, with the rest spread across the region. ✅Drivers of digital transformation in the next 5 years: ➡️Customer expectations: The shift toward digital channels and instant decisions is accelerating. With Gen Z entering decision-making roles, real-time service will become the norm. ➡️E-invoicing mandates: Tax authority APIs in Hungary and Serbia—and soon in Romania and Poland—are unlocking access to e-invoicing data. This opens up huge potential for automation and fraud reduction in SME factoring. ➡️AI adoption: From AI agents already in use to conversational AI on the horizon, artificial intelligence is set to transform the industry end-to-end.

Recently at #MWC25, I got the opportunity to sit down with Anastacio "Boy" Martirez, COO of Smart Communications, and discuss the opportunities and challenges AI is creating for telco companies. 🤖 During the Hello Tomorrow summit, Yeye XIAO and I had the chance to showcase what we believe will be the key impact of AI for the industry: upstream revolution. Today, most of the use case of AI implemented by industrial players are either customer or internal facing. 💵 When you know that those same players spend twice more in back office operations like R&D, Manufacturing or Operations than in Marketing and HR; it is fairly easy to imagine how we have just been scratching the surface of AI's potential. 🚀 We have identified dozens of use cases where AI, coupled with Deep Technologies, will have a significant impact by cutting down timelines, allowing another level of complexity exploration and advancing toward anticipation rather than reaction: - food ingredient rheology - neuromorphic computing - computational product design - ultra-low energy chips architecture - physical AI in operations - inconsistencies detection - environmental impact prediction ... ❓ Want to have the full picture of our research or discuss how this could benefit you?
