Rich biodiversity is display in this video including whale shark, sea turtle, school of tuna cardinal fish, anthia ,grouper , leaf fish, fan coral ,sea cucumber, sting ray, barracuda, snappers, flat worm, sea beam, sweetlips, rabbit fish, angel fish butterfly fish, sea anemone etc.
This video had been used in lectures in Hong Kong University and Hong Kong Agriculture and Fishery Department Country Park visitor centers for university students and public education use. It was very popular in the visitor centers.
This is a very good marine conservation promotion tool. The film make the public aware of the rich marine life in the sea and arose their interest and start to protect this colorful underwater lives.

Although this video was taking in late 1980's and early 1990's many marine life can still be seen now, a carpet of baby sea cucumber, flat worm, sea turtle, male anthia fish testing showing jaw power try to dominate the school, whale shark and other fish and crustaceans it has been used as a teaching material for public education in Agriculture and fishery department visitor center and used by university lectures in Hong universities. The author compile this video from many hours of underwater videos first hand research material. Despite the poor quality of the images the content is rich and cannot be easily repeated as many of the species in this video are migratory .It is still being used to show the rich marine biodiversity in south China water.

He was the only baiji that survive to old age of about 24 years. He provides a lot of scientific information on this unique species that have been living in Chang Jiang for over 2000 years. Development, fishing activities and pollution as well as slow reproductive rate and in-sufficient protection measures lead to the extinction of this beautiful river dolphin.

This research aims to fill a significant research gap in the study of dugong populations in Qatar... more This research aims to fill a significant research gap in the study of dugong populations in Qatar, where data on population status of this vulnerable species in the Arabian gulf has been limited. Conducted during 2023-2024, this study evaluates dugong population structure in Northwestern Qatar, focusing on the mother-calf ratios, and the need for cooperative conservation efforts between Qatar and Bahrain. We used Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to survey dugongs in seagrass meadows off the coast of Al-Zubara. The UAVs, flown at various altitudes, captured detailed data on dugong behavior, body size, and social structure. We recorded 224 dugongs, including 197 adults and 27 calves, and the first photographic evidence of probable twin dugongs in the Arabian Gulf, observed in both 2023 and 2024. This repeated sighting suggests that the region may serve as an important nursery habitat with a specific calving season. The study also revealed that dugongs often form large herds led by mature adults, with calves protected in the center of the herd. UAVs allowed us to identify individual dugongs through unique body markings, providing valuable data for monitoring their health, population size and movements over time. The findings underscore the need for continuous environmental monitoring and highlight the importance of transboundary management action plan between Qatar and Bahrain to protect key dugong habitats, especially during breeding and calving seasons. The study also recommends further research in the southeastern waters between Qatar and the UAE to improve conservation strategies across the Southern Arabian Gulf. This research enhances our understanding of dugong populations in Qatar and demonstrates the effectiveness of drone technology in marine conservation.
