SHAPING POLICY FROM THE CLASSROOM 🖋️ Following a United Nations University-MERIT and UNRWA collaboration, three UNU-MERIT students delved into the political and financial challenges UNRWA faces in times of crisis. The results are three theses and accompanying policy briefs, which directly inform the responses of the UN agency and strengthen its resilience. The student-centred UNU-UNRWA collaboration illuminates how scholarly analysis and policy research can reinforce and support the UN's mission when it faces heightened external pressures. ⏪ REVERTING — An Exhibition by Francisco Gonzalez Camacho From today until 21 November 2025, UNU will host the exhibition "Reverting" by Spanish artist Francisco Gonzalez Camacho. The exhibition is organized as part of SEEEU — European Photo Month in Tokyo. “Reverting” reflects Gonzalez Camacho’s experience in Iceland, where mass tourism and environmental issues challenge the idealized image of the land. By combining photographs with handmade recycled paper, Gonzalez Camacho reinterprets the Icelandic landscape. The project visualizes the cycles of the natural environment, embodying the very notion of “Reverting” — a return, a restoration, a process of going back.
