About us

The African Institute for Capacity Development (AICAD), is an international organization funded by the Governments of The Republic of Kenya, The United Republic of Tanzania and The Republic of Uganda. The Headquarter is located at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Juja town. AICAD has the Kenya National office at Egerton University Njoro, Nakuru, The United Republic of Tanzania National office is at Sokoine University of Agriculture Morogoro and Uganda National Office is at Makerere University Kampala. The main goal of the Institute is poverty reduction in the African region through human capacity development. Vision To be the leading African institution in building human capacity for poverty reduction. Mission To link Knowledge to application within communities in partner countries in Africa in order to reduce poverty.
