In the EU, sexual exploitation remained the most common recorded form of trafficking in human beings in the period 2013-2023, with 4 201 persons in 2023. 🔹The number of victims of forced labour increased over time, reaching a peak in 2022 (3 990 victims). Around 130 kilograms (kg) of food per person were wasted in the EU in 2023.🗑🍏 🏠 Household waste accounted for 53% of food waste, the equivalent of 69 kg per inhabitant.
