#Healthtech 🚀🇱🇺 Last night, Silicon Luxembourg hosted the 4th edition of The State of HealthTech, bringing together experts, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to explore the latest trends in Luxembourg’s growing healthtech sector. A warm welcome from Judith Schleder & Hassan Nada, highlighting the exciting growth of Luxembourg’s healthtech scene. 🔹 Virtual Rangers: Matthieu Bracchetti showcased how immersive tech is being used in digital health. 🔹 Two Sides of Success: Kyle Acierno (Exobiosphere) and Alain Rodermann (Expon Capital) shared insights on building and funding impactful healthtech ventures. 🔹 Panel Discussion moderated by Camille Saettel (Simmons & Simmons) & Hassan Nada and Leaders from the healthtech ecosystem Jean-Philippe Arie, Luxinnovation GIE, Nicolas Henckes, Hospilux S.A., Andreas Kremer Information Technology for Translational Medicine, and Astou Ndiaye HALE-X tackled digital health, AI, and patient-centric innovation. 🔹 Final thought: Author Anna Vassileva closed the night with a powerful reminder of the human side of healthtech. Yesterday, Luxembourg’s #healthtech community gathered at Silversquare Luxembourg for the 4th edition of “The State of Healthtech” — an event organised by Silicon Luxembourg, in partnership with Simmons & Simmons and us. The spotlight was on the latest developments and future outlooks in #digitalhealth, #AI, and #innovation in #healthcare. 💉 💊 🧬 Jean-Philippe Arie, Business Relationship Manager specialised in healthtech, shared his insights during a panel on “The Transformative Impact of Digital Health Technologies & AI.” 💬 “#Luxembourg’s ecosystem isn’t perfect, but thanks to the close collaboration among stakeholders and strong public support, it is clearly moving toward #excellence. The key challenge lies in data processing — the fuel that powers AI algorithms and continuously enhances the quality of solutions brought to market for the benefit of citizens, patients, healthcare professionals and public and private #research and innovation.” Alongside panelists Andreas Kremer (CEO, Information Technology for Translational Medicine), Nicolas Henckes (CEO, Hospilux S.A.), and Astou Ndiaye (CEO, HALE-X), the message was clear: #AI is not a barrier — it’s a catalyst for better care. #Luxembourg has secured its first-ever #ERC Synergy Grant, with nearly €8.5 million awarded to the "Alcemist" project. Led by Professor Jan Lagerwall at the University of Luxembourg in collaboration with Professor Maria Helena Godinho (Universidade Nova de Lisboa) and Professor Eugene M. Terentjev (University of Cambridge), the project aims to reinvent #materials science by exploring Liquid Crystal Elastomers (LCEs) — unique shapeshifting materials with the potential to create everything from artificial muscles to self-cleaning filters or switchable adhesives.
