    The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg now officially recognises the State of Palestine. This decision was announced on 22 September 2025, on behalf of the Government, by Prime Minister Luc Frieden, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Xavier Bettel.

Today, Minister xavier.bettel ier Bettel received the Ambassador of #Japan🇯🇵 to #Luxembourg🇱🇺, Tadahiro Matsubara, for his farewell audience at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Relations between Japan and Luxembourg were marked by this year’s #Expo2025 in Osaka, visits by the grand-ducal family and several trade missions. Both countries are preparing to celebrate the centenary of their diplomatic relations in 2027. 🇯🇵🤝🇱🇺
