  • What if the most powerful agricultural solutions began with a phone call? 📞🌱 In Zambia, farmers are transforming how agricultural advice is created through Atubandike, a digital platform led by CIMMYT that listens first. Farmers share their challenges in their own languages, turning their voices into science-based, practical advice that works in real fields. Through the Atubandike Content Committee, farmers, scientists, and extension officers work side by side, transforming local experience into trusted guidance that strengthens livelihoods and resilience. When we listen to farmers, innovation grows, trust deepens, and communities thrive. 🌾🤝 Read more: https://bit.ly/4hDQFKC

When science, innovation and collaboration unite, transformation happens. 🌍 FAO Director General Qu Dongyu visited CIMMYT’s headquarters in Mexico to see how research connects with farmers and advances sustainable agrifood systems. Through decades of work, #CIMMYT has reached 18 million farmers worldwide, strengthening livelihoods through science and innovation. This impact is reflected in measurable outcomes: wheat research generates up to 103 dollars for every dollar invested, while drought tolerant maize creates 1.9 billion dollars in opportunity and benefits 60 million people.🌱 With more than 124,000 wheat accessions safeguarded in the CIMMYT genebank, biodiversity continues to drive progress, generating 11 billion dollars in annual global benefit and securing the foundation of food systems across regions.🗺️ Science and collaboration continue to power a more resilient, inclusive and food secure future. 🔬 #FoodSecurity #Sustainability #PartnershipsForImpact
