The UK Government’s £19 million investment, delivered in partnership with UNICEF and the Governments of Kano and Jigawa States, is helping to protect essential services for children and families. Through #CRIBS, supported by UK in Nigeria, 39 Primary Health Centres and 45 schools have been strengthened to withstand climate risks, ensuring that health and education services remain accessible even during climate shocks. With Nigeria ranking 2nd globally in climate risks to children, this investment showcases how scalable solutions like CRIBS can protect essential services and provide a model for nationwide replication.
