A field visit to Belgium! 🇧🇪🌿 Last week, Isa Kors, Julius Tempelaars, Thijmen Kortekaas and Lotte Sophie van Langen travelled to Belgium to visit two ClimateParks. We were kindly invited by Ron Gerards as part of our project for CAPPS ClimateParks, where we’re researching the potential of CAPPS ClimateParks in Indonesia. Our day with CAPPS started with a tour and presentation of CAPPS at -Ron’s headquarters in Landen, Belgium. After this, the group visited the first park of the day: The “Sonvalbos”. Amazing to see how Ron’s mission was coming to fruition in this park. The second park the team visited was the “Lange Bemden”, a great example of Ron’s water retention mission for CAPPS. Seeing it with our own eyes gave us valuable insights and a great idea of what a Climate Park looks like. We’re now more prepared than ever to continue this project and take our research to the next level in Indonesia! Thank you Ron Gerards for the invitation and your time! 🌍🌿 #ARP2025 #ClimateParks #Sustainability #Indonesia #VUAmsterdam #FieldTrip

Acquisition phase is over! 🚀 After months of hard work, the acquisition phase is officially behind us! This year, we’re collaborating with five companies, each with completely different research questions. With the acquisition wrapped up, we’ve shifted our focus to desk research and the final preparations for our trip. 📅 April 2nd is the big day! Then we go to Indonesia to start our field research! 🇮🇩 To make sure we’re fully prepared, we’ve had several valuable training sessions over the past few weeks: Cultural Training – Hans Topril and Alicia Utami gave us an eye-opening session on the cultural differences between the Netherlands and Indonesia. From business etiquette to communication styles, they gave us practical insights that will help us navigate meetings and collaborations in Indonesia. Case SeederDeBoer – Kim Kraaijenhof and Niels Ketelaar from SeederDeBoer guided us through a case on cost-cutting in healthcare. Tailored PwC Training – PwC Nederland provided valuable insights directly related to our research topics, helping us fine-tune our approach before heading into the field. Thanks to Thijs Broeren, Daan Rus, Putri Ayudita, Emanuel Heinsbroek Sonja Pieters for this training! With these trainings completed and our research progressing, we’re feeling prepared and excited for what’s ahead. A huge thanks to everyone who helped us get ready! Now it’s time to put everything we’ve learned into practice in Indonesia! ✈️🌸 #ARP2025 #FieldResearch #Indonesia #Consulting #VUAmsterdam
