  • Today marks exactly 25 years since Michiel van den Bovenkamp joined Base Logistics. At the time, our office and warehouse are still located in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht. Michiel officially starts as Purchasing Manager, but due to the rapid growth of our organization, his role changes a few years later to Global Logistics Manager. By then, we are already based at our much larger headquarters in Zwijndrecht. In 2017, the year we move to Moerdijk and join forces with HealthLink to form Base Logistics Group, Michiel becomes Chief Operating Officer (COO). Since March 2022, he serves as CEO, a role he describes as one he fulfils “with great joy and energy every single day.” We are proud that Michiel has worked with us for so long, and today we are honoring this milestone in a meaningful way.

  • Today exactly 25 years ago, so on 3 July 2000, Dagmar van der Wal started his first working day at Base Logistics. At that time, we were still based in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht. Dagmar began his career at Base Logistics in the role of Logistics Support. From the start, he was involved in the development of our first transport management system, which later became known as Klairy. But for a large part of his career at Base Logistics, his focus was primarily on process analyses, customer implementations, the management of Strategic Stocking Locations, and inventory relocations, especially during the period when he was responsible for Engineering. Further developing Klairy was already a common thread during those years, but since 2018 Dagmar has been fully dedicated to IT and the development of Klairy with the current team. In 2015, Dagmar was appointed IT & Business Development Manager, after which he advanced to Technology & Innovation Manager and then to his current position as Director Technology & Innovation at Base Logistics Group. We are proud to have Dagmar as part of our team for so many years and we will make sure to put him in the spotlight as we celebrate this special anniversary in style.
