Reminiscing the grand opening of Conscious Hotel Utrecht ✨ September 30th marked a special moment as we officially opened our newest Conscious Hotel along the beautiful Oudegracht canal with Union House – and what a celebration it was! What started as an ambitious initiative to change travel and hospitality for the better has resulted in four successful Conscious Hotels and a merger with Hotel V & The Lobby, bringing us closer to realizing our dreams. With our eyes set on expanding sustainable travel and hospitality beyond Amsterdam, Utrecht felt like the perfect next step – a new home along the beautiful Oudegracht canal. The Grand Opening was really the culmination of years of love, sweat, and creativity poured into bringing this hotel to life. From developing the first plans to sharing and celebrating with partners, friends, and the local community, the energy and pride were unforgettable. Guests explored the hotel, enjoyed delicious bites and drinks, and joined inspiring conversations, ending in a ceremonial press of the red button. 🎉 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to this journey and joined us in celebrating, and special thanks to the folks at Union House and Swijnenburg for co-hosting with us. Our employees just got a fresh new look ✨ We’re excited to announce our new collaboration with By Rockland bedrijfskleding, a workwear supplier known for creating unique, design-led uniforms in collaboration with Dutch designers. Their focus on identity, craftsmanship, and conscious production perfectly aligns with our own values at Conscious Group. Given this shared vision, this collaboration only made sense. Together, we created custom t-shirts and denim shirts that bring comfort, style, and functionality to our teams across all Conscious Hotels locations. Each piece was designed to last – made with care, and made to move with the people who bring our hotels to life every day. A huge thank you to Sofie Rockland and the rest of the By Rockland team for helping us bring our team identity to life through timeless, functional design. 🌿✨

A night to remember in Utrecht ✨ This Tuesday, we celebrated the grand opening of Conscious Hotel Oudegracht, our very first location outside of Amsterdam and a milestone moment for our team. We were joined by over 500 guests for an evening filled with inspiring moments: tours through the hotel, music and performances by Buro Curious, drinks and bites by Union House, a panel talk with Margriet van Kraats, Peter-Paul Swijnenburg, Rob van Hemert, and Eva Oosters, and finally the push of the red button to mark the official opening. Most importantly, we welcomed our first guests, beginning a new chapter for Conscious Hotels along Utrecht’s iconic canal. This boutique hotel reflects everything we stand for – thoughtful design, warm hospitality, and sustainability at its core. With the help of our design partner The Invisible Party, we’ve created a place where both travelers and locals can feel at home. A huge thank you to our incredible team, for making this night possible, and to our guests for celebrating with us. Sneak Peek aan de Oudegracht ✨ Afgelopen donderdag beleefden we een bijzonder moment: we organiseerden een exclusieve preview voor pers en media van Utrecht bij onze gloednieuwe locatie aan de Oudegracht. Wat ooit een historisch pand was aan één van de iconische grachten van de stad, krijgt nu een nieuw hoofdstuk. Binnenkort openen hier de deuren van het allereerste Conscious Hotel van Utrecht, inclusief een splinternieuwe Sticky Fingers café. Deze preview was extra speciaal, omdat we dit moment deelden met Swijnenburg, die hier ook hun restaurant Union House zullen openen. Samen gaven we een eerste indruk van wat deze locatie binnenkort voor de stad betekent. Onze gasten kregen een exclusieve blik op waar we de afgelopen maanden met zoveel passie aan hebben gewerkt. Met alleen nog de laatste details en afwerkingen te doen, zitten we nu echt in de eindfase voor de opening. Een warm dankjewel aan iedereen die aanwezig was, ons geweldige team en de bouwploegen die dit mogelijk hebben gemaakt. We kunnen niet wachten om dit nieuwe hoofdstuk met het publiek te delen. We zijn trots om een nieuwe samenwerking aan te kondigen met IWDA (International Women’s Development Agency) en African Parks. IWDA werkt in Azië en de Pacific aan het versterken van de rechten van vrouwen, meisjes en genderdiverse personen. African Parks beheert natuurgebieden in Afrika en zet zich in voor de bescherming van ecosystemen en wilde dieren. Voortaan verblijven beide organisaties bij Conscious Hotels wanneer ze Amsterdam bezoeken. Zo verbinden we ons met partners die, net als wij, waarde hechten aan verantwoordelijkheid en zorg voor mens en natuur.

It’s World Environment Day (one of our favorite days of the year)! 🌱 This year’s World Environment Day focuses on the urgent need to tackle plastic pollution, from what ends up in our oceans to what’s found in our own bodies as microplastics.
