⛓️ Trafficking in human beings (THB) is often misunderstood, overlooked, or reduced to harmful stereotypes. On this EU #AntiTraffickingDay, we are on a mission to help you see what’s hiding below the surface. Trafficking in human beings can happen anywhere, and it affects people of all ages, backgrounds, and genders. 👁️ That’s why it’s so important to #LookBeyond the stereotypes. For the next few weeks, we invite you to shift your perspective on THB, recognise the signs and learn how to protect yourself and others. #BreakTheStereotypes #LearnTheSigns #EndTrafficking 👀 Keep an eye on this space, or explore more on our website: https://lnkd.in/enVKMkXE

🛂 Europe’s borders are going digital. As of yesterday, Europe’s new Entry/Exit System (EES) is officially live and is modernising border checks for millions of non-EU travellers visiting Europe for short stays. Instead of passport stamps, the EES now digitally record the entries and exits at border crossings in 29 European countries. Under strict data protection rules, the EES System will: ✅ Make border checks faster, more modern and efficient ✅ Help prevent irregular migration, identify overstayers and reduce identity fraud ✅ Help prevent, detect and investigate terrorist offences and other serious crimes Under certain legal restrictions, Europol may obtain access and use the EES data to support Member States in countering terrorism and serious criminal offences. 🚨 By modernising border management, the EES will help make Europe safer. #TravelToEurope Learn more about EES: https://lnkd.in/eXBYmFRM
