𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺? Challenge accepted! Heerema engineers from various disciplines worked together to design the Conductor Down-End frame. Once the design was approved, fabrication the began at Heerema Fabrication Group. These innovative conductor frames are designed to be: 🦺 Safe: each conductor section is individually supported to prevent buckling or breaking ♻️ Modular: batches of 12 stored in interchangeable cradles, easily adapted to different conductor diameters 🏗️ Efficient: down-ending performed 12-at-a-time instead of one-by-one 🚧 Onshore-ready: enabling safe, streamlined set-down and processing at the decommissioning yard Smaller sections, safe removal, big impact! It’s first application during the Veslefrikk-A removal project was a big success thanks to the great collaboration between the crew, the project team and client Equinor. 𝗘𝗻𝗱-𝗼𝗳-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘁, 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀, 𝗦𝗹𝗲𝗶𝗽𝗻𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱. 💪 🌊 In under a year of preparation, our teams installed two substructures for the Nordsee Cluster A offshore substation in the German North Sea. First, an 830-mt transition piece was installed as the substructure for the offshore substation, followed by the installation of a 1,950-mt jacket – all according to schedule. A solid milestone for all teams involved, completed in winter conditions that are never easy to operate in. This result comes down to close cooperation with our client RWE and applying experience built up across previous projects. On a very gloomy and grey autumn day, our mighty Sleipnir and her crew delivered a flawless lift of the enormous 10,300 mt topside on behalf of Aker Solutions for the Offshore Converter Station at ScottishPower Renewables East Anglia THREE offshore wind farm. A highlight of this operation was the use of our in-house drone support, providing real-time aerial assistance to the Superintendent and Crane Drivers, enhancing safety and coordination during the lift.
