🌊 Floating in water—still my favorite way to decompress. I think this was in Florida or Michigan—two places we often visited on holiday. I don’t remember exactly where, but I remember the feeling: weightless, quiet, free. As someone with sensory processing differences, floating gives me something rare—a full-body calm. The water wraps around me, muffling sound, softening light, slowing everything down. It’s like the world finally matches my pace. I let things go here. Thoughts, tension, noise. Just me and the water. This is where I feel most regulated. Most myself.

Cross‑Country Calm in Utah—and the Cost of Speaking Up This photo from a cross‑country ski in Utah’s snow‑covered valleys looks peaceful. And in many ways, it was. The steady glide of skis, the sound of snow underfoot, and the rhythm of my breath helped me focus. Out there, ideas for coaching, consulting, and training came more easily. At the time, I was working for a company that promoted itself as hiring only autistic technologists—supposedly a place to build inclusive teams. But when I spoke up for the very people I was hired to support, the CEO responded with verbal abuse. Profit mattered more than people. Accountability was replaced with ego and intimidation. This is what often happens when advocates push back against harmful practices: Autistic employees are sidelined when they question unsafe policies Leaders avoid responsibility, choosing bullying over change The result is real harm—lost jobs, lost stability, and lasting trauma Workplaces should not operate this way. Expertise and empathy are not opposites; they belong together. Ethical leadership means protecting your team, even when it is inconvenient.

Sustainable Finance & ESG Innovation As Europe’s fund capital, Luxembourg mandates robust ESG reporting—and creativity wins. Neurodivergent teams excel at pattern recognition and novel problem-solving. • Facilitate design-thinking sprints that lean into divergent ideation for green product launches. • Embed strength-based roles in your ESG taskforces: data-driven research, visual storytelling, deep-dive analysis. • Coach cross-functional leaders on neuro-affirming brainstorming methods (e.g., mind-mapping, rapid prototyping). Harnessing neurodiverse perspectives can shrink your ESG project timelines by 25% and spark breakthrough sustainable products. #ESGInnovation #SustainableFinance #hr #europeanleadership #diversity #inclusion #inclusionmatters #bethechangeUN #EASPD #Europeandisabilityforum #disabilityhubeurope #HRzone #siliconluxembourg #eu #humanresources #autism #adhd #dyslexia #wearehiring #hiringnow #ai #nowhiring #employment #success #jobseekers #management #leadership #leadershipdevelopment #leadershipfirst #mentoring #leader #EuropeCareerSupport #Opportunity #OpenToWork #DEI #businessstrategy #techupdates #futureofwork #EschSurAlzette #Kirchberg #Clausen

🌍 On the border of Israel and Lebanon—one of our weekend tours around the country. This photo brings back so much. That’s me and a fellow student I truly adored—we shared laughter, curiosity, and a sense of adventure that made those days unforgettable. We explored, we learned, we wandered. I’ve lost touch with all of them over the years, which is bittersweet. But the memories remain vivid, and I look back with deep fondness. As an autistic person, I often form intense connections in moments that feel grounded and real. Travel gave me that. The sensory richness of new places, the structure of planned routes, the freedom to be fully present—it was a kind of clarity I rarely find elsewhere. I didn’t always fit in, but I always felt something meaningful. And sometimes, that’s enough.

Wadi Rum Yoga Retreat Walking the dunes at a Wadi Rum yoga retreat felt like a masterclass in calm: wide horizons, soft sand underfoot, steady rhythms and space to breathe. That slow, sensory-rich environment mirrors what many neurodivergent people find grounding — predictable routines, gentle movement, proprioceptive input, and permission to join at one’s own pace. I left with practical ideas for classrooms and workplaces: short grounding routines, low‑stimulus spaces, choice in participation, and simple mindfulness practices that support regulation, focus, and dignity for everyone.

Looking back on that weekend when I slipped away from Bahrain to explore Oman’s souks, the memories are still sharp. I wandered through winding stalls filled with colorful textiles and old artifacts, searching for the perfect perfume for my mom. My driver, who was incredibly kind, carried my bags and even snapped a few candid photos for me along the way. At one point in the taxi, I mentioned how nice the car smelled. Without saying a word, he reached under his seat and handed me a brand‑new little jar of the scent. That small, unexpected gesture still sits on my shelf today—a sensory time capsule. As someone who is neurodivergent, scents and details like these stay with me in a way that is hard to explain. Every fragrance became a vivid memory, and my focus pulled me deeper into the history and traditions around me. It is moments like these—meeting generous strangers, stepping into centuries‑old traditions, and feeling every detail so intensely—that remind me why travel means so much to me.
