What a wonderful partnership to continue! We are incredibly proud to have been supporting the Rijksmuseum with our painting and drawing materials since 2016. It's inspiring to see how young and old alike use our materials in the Teekenschool to explore and develop their creativity. For us, the collaboration with the Rijksmuseum goes beyond supplying products. Together, we work on educational programs and the development of new drawing products, always with a focus on quality and accessibility. 'Learning to see by doing', this motto perfectly aligns with our vision that creating art should be accessible to everyone. We look forward to the next three years and all the exciting initiatives we will realize together. Thank you for your trust, Rijksmuseum! 🖌️

Yesterday we officially opened our new Royal Talens headquarters, a proud milestone in our history. We want to thank the mayor of Gemeente Apeldoorn Ton Heerts, our guests from Sakura Color Corporations, the architects from Bronsvoort Blaak Architecten bna Freek Bronsvoort and Henk Geert Blaak, Pleijsier Bouw, KeraStone, our employees and all other partners who helped make this project possible. During the event, six beautiful artworks by Melle Mijnhardt telling the story of Royal Talens were unveiled, completing the entrance to our new home. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this new chapter. We look forward to a bright and colourful future together.

𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐚 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 Last Friday marked a significant moment for our company. We officially signed the completion documents with Robert Pleijsier from Pleijsier Bouw for our new factory and office. From the first discussions in 2018 to signing with contractors in December 2023, and starting construction in May 2024, what a journey it's been! On August 25th, we had our first working day in our new headquarters & factory, and now we've reached the official finish line. This milestone represents more than just the end of an intensive construction project. It's the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our company in Apeldoorn Noord. Last Friday, we had the pleasure of hosting European Commissioner Jeannette Baljeu and Apeldoorn Alderman Nick Derks at Royal Talens for inspiring and collaborative discussions about developing more practical and effective regulatory frameworks. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭   During our productive conversations, we discussed the current CLP labeling requirements and the impact on businesses like ours. The current implementation requires us to: ✏️ Redesign artwork for 6,000+ products  📦 Update label inventory and adapt machinery  🏭 Upgrade distribution centers and logistics  📋 Navigate increased administrative requirements  🎯 Fit extensive text on small packaging which results in more handling and articles However a solution exists: QR codes could provide comprehensive information while optimizing space and reducing costs. However, QR codes are currently not permitted under CLP regulations. We believe this technology represents a forward-thinking approach that ensures consumer safety while supporting business efficiency. 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝  We're optimistic that QR code technology will receive thoughtful consideration at the European level as a practical alternative that maintains high safety standards while addressing real business challenges.
