The next generation of machine health: Autonomous diagnostics and troubleshooting system

Om oss

We are a deep tech startup based in Oslo and Berlin, building the next generation of machine health. Our focus is on making remote fault diagnostics faster, smarter, and autonomous. With expertise in AI, automation, and industrial systems, we are developing an intelligent diagnostics solution that identifies faults across complex machines — pinpointing what’s wrong, why it’s happening, and how to resolve it. Most monitoring tools today rely on threshold-based alerts tied to isolated sensors. We're changing that. ANOX takes a system-level approach, applying reasoning across logs, telemetry, and component relationships to understand faults holistically including cascading failures and interdependencies. We believe the future of machines and vehicles is autonomous and that future demands autonomous maintenance. Our goal is to build the foundation for it: An immune system for machines ensuring resilience, uptime, and self-awareness across fleets. Let’s connect if you're working with robotics, industrial systems, maritime operations, or complex automation and want to rethink what’s possible in machine health.

Last week, we had the chance to showcase our vision at Antler's Investor Day, pitching our idea of Building the Immune System for Machines. In just three minutes, we demonstrated how remote diagnostics can become simple, fast, and autonomous, enabling systems to detect problems, analyze components, pinpoint root causes, suggest resolving actions, and continuously learn from every incident. A big thank-you to Anna Munthe-Kaas and Kristian Jul Røsjø for organizing this initiative, and to Nina Zeh and Ege Akinci for making it all happen. Congratulations as well to the other founders who delivered incredible pitches: Geir Anders Haga from Livity, Michael Lee from LYSIUM, Morten Falch Sortland from Egos.ai, Beata Hranaiova from KAHU, and Marius Blaker Høgevold from Fronted. Also, a special thanks to the investors and partners who joined us: Jorgen André Nilsen from Televenture Management, Andreas Edesberg from Sloyd, Jenna Maria Corti and Bendik Berg from DNV, Sagar Chandna from RunwayFBU, Victoria Somdalen from Startuplab, Alex Somby from Devspace, and Erik Eikeseth Mjøs from A/S Rederiet Odfjell. Exciting times ahead. Join us as we continue building the immune system for machines! 🦾 #ANOX #Antler #DeepTech #AI #AutonomousSystems #Innovation #StartupEcosystem #ResilienceStartsHere

  • Imagine an AI system that doesn’t just detect a problem, it understands why it happened, fixes it autonomously, and learns from the event to prevent it next time. We’re entering a new era where intelligence extends into the physical world. The next leap in AI won’t come from scaling language models, but from #CausalReasoning. Systems that understand cause and effect, not just patterns in data. Instead of following pre-defined instructions, these systems will make context-aware decisions in real time, often with minimal human input. They represent the move from assisted automation to adaptive autonomy. At ANOX, we’re building an immune system that will give robots and machines the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain themselves. We call it the Immune System for Machines. #PhysicalAI #CausalReasoning #AgenticAI #AdaptiveAutonomy #FutureOfAI #ANOX #ResilienceStartsHere

  • At ANOX, we constantly learn through validation, feedback, and a deep look into operational problems. One of our partners recently shared their biggest fear: “If a key person leaves, we are f**ed.” It’s blunt and it’s true for almost every technical organization. Critical diagnostic knowledge lives in the heads of a few senior engineers or gets buried in Slack channel. When troubleshooting depends on “that one person who has seen it before,” you’re exposed. If they’re unavailable or leave, years of experience vanish overnight. Problems recur. Learning stalls. With ANOX, we’re tackling this head-on. We are going beyond diagnostics building system knowledge platform. Every fault becomes a permanent, searchable part of your machine’s history. Expertise is institutionalized, available 24/7, and even shared between machines. How are you capturing and scaling the know-how of your most experienced engineers? 🤔 Let us know if you face the same problem or you know the solution to it! #KnowledgeManagement #DeepTech #FutureOfWork #RiskManagement #OperationalExcellence

  • Today we hear a lot about the autonomous future. But why is it inevitable and why do we need it? 🤔 Because complexity has outgrown human capacity. Systems, machines, software, and organizations generate far more data and interactions than people can realistically monitor or control. Autonomy isn’t a luxury, but a necessity: - It reduces dependence on scarce human expertise - It shifts work from repetitive supervision to higher-level decision making - It scales: one system can manage thousands of processes simultaneously something no human team could do But not all area are developing in this direction: 👉 Machine health hasn’t caught up. Most approaches are still based on threshold rules, applied to isolated components or systems. Hardware and software subsystems are treated separately, with little communication between them. At ANOX, we want to change that. We’re building an immune-system-like layer for machines. It runs quietly in the background, detects unusual behavior, and lets the machine tell you how it “feels” instead of relying on engineers to debug it after the fact. 👉 If you’re a robotics enthusiast or a machine learning researcher interested in reasoning models, let’s connect and exchange ideas. 🤝

  • When a drone has a critical failure mid-mission, what's the real first step? For an experienced operator, the answer is usually the same: get into the logs. But then the hard part begins. The data from all the different sensors is scattered across different logs and formats. The subsystems aren't designed to talk to each other, so it becomes a manual, time-consuming puzzle to piece together the symptoms and find the actual cause. You are not just looking for a needle in a haystack; you're trying to assemble three different haystacks just to figure out where to start looking. This is the reality of modern robotics, where a software glitch can look exactly like a hardware failure. We believe there's a better way. Our system creates a 'living blueprint' of your machine, understanding the relationship between every component. When a fault happens, we don't just see the symptom; we trace it back to the root. It’s about moving from guesswork to a clear, data-driven answer

A couple of weeks ago, our team at ANOX had the opportunity to join Nor-Shipping 2025. We pitched in front of investors, took part in the MARE Forum, and explored hundreds of stands showcasing the future of maritime innovation. Our biggest takeaway? The world is shifting rapidly both geopolitically and technologically. Geopolitical pressures are creating a real sense of urgency in Europe to adapt, modernize, and innovate. From a technological perspective, one message came through clearly: autonomy is no longer a distant vision. It is being built, adopted, and accelerated. Whether it's underwater robotics, autonomous vessels, or smart ship systems, the next decade will be shaped by intelligent infrastructure that can operate, monitor, and respond independently. At ANOX, we’re building exactly that: An Autonomous Maintenance Intelligence (AMI) system that continuously monitors complex machines, understanding system dependencies, diagnosing issues in real time, and offering prescriptive guidance for action. It knows what’s wrong, why it’s happening, and what to do about it. We’re proud to be at the frontier of this transformation. #maritime #robotics #autonomy #innovation #NorShipping #deeptech #ANOXAI #agenticsystems #maintenance #subsea
