Bay Dynamics is excited to announce that we are joining SYOS Aerospace. The partnership of the two companies was a natural fit of two incredibly talented teams who are both rapidly creating innovative solutions to the challenges our clients present us with. The drive to constantly develop and improve uncrewed systems at both companies make it a great partnership and Bay Dynamics’ subsea systems will now add to Syos' existing platforms in Air, Land, and Sea to enable offerings in all domains. We’ve already been collaborating on some very cool projects (watch this space) and I can’t wait for our teams to be working in the same building, integrating our technologies and taking them to the world.

Need Lights? 💡 Unit 306 has 4 💡💡💡💡 independently dimmable light channels. We know its important to increase the angle 📐 of incidence between cameras 📸 and lights 💡. No one wants flaring or washout. You want to light the object, not the water 💧 in between. So with wide lights for area shots, and central lights for close up manip work, rear lights for tether monitoring, and a 4th channel for accessory lights as needed. This unit has it covered. 💯 This unit will ship with Qty 10 Blue Robotics Lumen lights installed. It is wired to handle up to 16 when needed. Each light can be placed in one of around 60 available positions on the ROV and at any angle with our custom light bracket for the Lumens. More on these to follow.

Huge shout out to Impact Subsea for this great post about some of Bay Dynamics NZ work and how we integrate the impressive sensors and sonars from them into our own in-house units, as well as being their suppliers and support team for New Zealand since 2020. We have huge respect for the work Impact Subsea is doing and the quality of their products show just how passionate and professional the entire team in the UK is. We are proud to stand next to them as their reps for this part of the world.
Bay Dynamics NZ – From Supplier to Specialist Integration Partner. Impact Subsea’s distributor for New Zealand, Bay Dynamics, is more than a trusted supplier of subsea technology, they are a skilled integration partner capable of delivering complete, bespoke ROV solutions for demanding underwater missions. A recent example, showcased Bay Dynamics integrating our ISS360 Imaging Sonar into a custom ROV for tunnel inspection. The sonar was mounted to scan all but the bottom 45° beneath the vehicle, allowing precise navigation inside a 4 meter diameter tunnel. But their capability goes far beyond sonar mounting. Bay Dynamics designed and delivered a highly capable vehicle fitted with Impact Subsea’s ISM3D Attitude & Heading Reference System, ISD4000 Depth & Temperature Sensor and ISA500 Altimeter, providing the operators with real-time positional awareness, depth and distance data during challenging confined-space operations. Another project saw Bay Dynamics integrate the ISM3D and ISD4000 inside a compact tooling payload alongside a profiling sonar for a separate tunnel survey, demonstrating their ability to seamlessly package multiple technologies into a single, operationally ready system. A recent case study highlighted the integration of the ISS360 Imaging Sonar into their custom-built BlueROV-C, a commercial ROV platform based on the popular Blue Robotics design. The team engineered a retractable, toolless mount for the ISS360, making it easy to deploy or stow the sonar in the field, no tools required, this is highlighted in our recent case study: https://bit.ly/4lAtqT0 Through projects like these, Bay Dynamics proves they are not only experts in supplying world-class subsea sensors but also in delivering complete, field-ready solutions that meet the exacting needs of complex underwater inspection tasks. Damaged Penstock seal ? 🤔 Poor visibility and difficult access? 🤔 Other companies failed already? 😢 Thats when we get called. Our client needed to assess the damage to a dams Penstock seal. 👷 They couldn't seal the tunnel. 52m underwater 💧. Behind an intake screen. Only way in via a gate slot. The tether only had a 15mm 📏 gap to pass through once the gate was raised so the ROV could access behind it. With poor visibility, the ROV was only able to see about 1m of the seal at any moment, a digital twin was the only way to see the whole scenario in one picture. 🖼️ This located a number of sheared off bolts 🔩 , buckled bolts 🔩 and the seal itself is both warped and damaged. At 7m wide and made from solid bronze 🥉 this is no easy fix. 🔎 Bay Dynamics created a dimensionally accurate 3D Digital Model of the damage. 🏆 Something we have been doing in tough scenarios since 2020 for clients all over New Zealand 🌏

A big shout 📢 out to our trusted supplier Impact Subsea for show casing a BlueROV-C unit we integrated with their impressive ISS360 sonar. 🔎 If you didnt know, 🤔 Bay Dynamics has been New Zealand's exclusive supplier for Impact Subsea equipment for nearly 5 years. 🎆 We not only support the IS team and their products but we trust it so much that we use all of their equipment ourselves. 🏆 What better endorsement is there?!
Innovation in Action: Custom BlueROV-C with ISS360 Integration Bay Dynamics NZ, our trusted New Zealand distributor, has integrated the ISS360 Imaging Sonar into their custom-built BlueROV-C, a commercial ROV platform based on the popular Blue Robotics design. 💡 The team engineered a retractable, toolless mount for the ISS360, making it easy to deploy or stow the sonar in the field, no tools required. 🛠️ This system was built for a local New Zealand Council and is now being used for infrastructure and reservoir inspections that help supply critical drinking water to local towns. The result? A compact, high-performance system tailored to the customer’s exact needs and they love it. We're proud to see the ISS360 play a part in this innovative ROV solution. 📍 Developed exclusively by Bay Dynamics 📸 Featuring: Impact Subsea ISS360 Sonar + Custom retractable mount 📄 Download the full case study to see how the ISS360 helped inspect New Zealand’s drinking water infrastructure. https://bit.ly/4lAtqT0 #ImpactSubsea #ISS360 #BayDynamics
