My heart's louder than my head. Sometimes to my detriment. It wants to be patient. Wait for permission to speak. Back my gut if everyone says it's fine. It wants the nod. The green light. To be told “you’ve earned this”. But my brain’s finally caught up. And it’s saying f**k that. The heart has its place. It's selfless and humble. But if you only believe in others? Rely on all opinions but your own? Self-belief dies. You don’t need permission to own your craft. Just conviction. A gut feeling. And the guts to act on it. ~ Note from Nathan

A year ago now, we flew back from New York. I came home pretty deflated. The trip went okay. Not terrible. But not as well as the year before. To make things worse, the business was wobbling. We’d made mistakes, Shaken clients' confidence in us. We had a bright, beady-eyed team full of new faces, But were heading into a sad-looking Christmas. Fast forward to today, It's a big 180. We’re back in the US, this time in San Francisco. We had a client in hand before we landed. Our financial position's stronger. And the team more aligned and capable than we’ve ever been. I’m excited. But I’m also a little weary. Because these last 12 months reminded me just how quickly things can change, How the biggest wins come as quickly as the heaviest losses, And how important it is to manage your expectations on both ends. Good things won’t last forever, But bad things won’t either. Wherever you’re standing right now, This too shall pass. ~ Note from Stanley

Imposter syndrome's a b*tch. I had it the worst on day one. I walked into TAS with no marketing degree. No big following, and no idea why I’d been hired. All I really had was a quiet promise to myself, That if someone gave me a shot, I’d prove I could f*cking do it. So I kept my head down, tried keeping up and pitched ideas, Everything I could to not screw things up. Fast forward to now and... wow. I don't just know I belong here, I actively care about why I do what I do. Making cool content's part of the job, But I’m mainly here to close the gap between what we could be making and what we actually are. The kind of work that actually makes sense for socials, For passionate communities, And for stories that matter. I found that confidence, but it didn't come externally, from being told I was good. It came from seeing the cracks, what wasn’t working, And knowing I could fix them. ~ Note from Cearah

A year ago, I couldn't share my ideas out loud. (Still nervous to do it sometimes.) But the difference now is, for the sake of growth, I know it’s something I need to do. So as awkward as it feels, I push myself to speak up more. TAS has pushed me out of my comfort zone more times than I can count. It’s never about perfection here, Failing fast, adapting and moving forward is how they live and breathe. It's reshaped how I work, and even how I live. I'm not as risk-averse as I once was, I say yes more and back myself better, Because I know the goal isn’t to get everything right, but to constantly improve. If I met me-from-a-year-ago, she’d be shocked at how much more ease I feel, How much more I trust myself. Big perspective shifts don’t always come from big "a-ha!" moments. Sometimes, they just come from a team that backs you - Even when you’re still figuring it out. ~ Note from Tyla

The Attention Seeker reposted this 🎥 Most brands chase attention. He built a business around it. As the founder of The Attention Seeker, Stanley Henry didn’t try to reverse-engineer virality — he built a system for earning it, keeping it, and turning it into growth. Here’s how he’s scaling from NZ to NYC without obsessing over ROI: ✅ Each post has one job — usually, building the audience ✅ Content = relevance + structure + human truth ✅ Internal culture is as visible as the content itself His strategy? Test, listen, build, repeat. 📘 Read the full article: https://buff.ly/anYfLuT 🎧 Listen to the podcast: https://buff.ly/Ou8Xdep 💬 How do you keep attention — without burning out your audience? #Leadership #ContentStrategy #BrandGrowth #EmergingTech #NIAFeature

The Attention Seeker reposted this ✋Stop leading with your product. 🤌Start leading with your personality. This afternoon I sat in on an online webinar hosted by the organic marketing powerhouse The Attention Seeker It was a masterclass in reframing how brands show up online. Too often, brands treat social media like a digital storefront: products, promos, features, rinse and repeat. But in today’s attention-seeking economy, what actually builds connection and conversion is values-led storytelling. The Framework: Setup → Conflict → Resolution An ironclad storytelling structure The Attention Seeker uses to hook their audience and keep them engaged long enough to take action. Key Takeaways Clarity & Compelling: As Jony Lee said, “You don’t want to give your audience blue balls.” Always deliver a compelling resolution regardless oh how you are formatting content. Personality over polish: People don’t want the 2016 “hot chick selling a product” vibe anymore. They want relatability, realness, and humanity. Community, not commodity: Audiences follow brands they feel connected too, don't sell to them, involve them. My Reflection It was refreshing to be reminded that social media isn’t just a marketing channel, it’s a mirror of your brand’s identity, tone, and values. When you frame your online presence around what your brand believes in, not just what it sells, you attract the right audience and build trust that lasts longer than a campaign. Big thanks to The Attention Seeker for hosting such a generous and thought-provoking session. Sometimes, the best marketing advice isn’t about selling harder it’s about being truer.

The Attention Seeker reposted this And then there were 3! In our third and final semi-final we had our first ever draw in the Office Comedy Clash. We went to a tie-breaker and The Attention Seeker come out on top over Fisher & Paykel Technologies Team 2! So close! Both teams performed some very fun scenes with a great stunt doubles scene and a forwards / backwards scene that would have made professional improvisers proud. The Grand Final has already sold out! It’s going to be huge as we determine next week who is NZ’s funniest office! Stanley Henry Claire Henry Mike Ullrich Maria Limbrick Michael Fooks Mike Stokes

The Attention Seeker reposted this I'm totally psyched to be back in New Zealand, my home away from home!! Working with our amazing team "down under" is so incredible!!! ✈️😅 Huge kudos Stanley Henry, Libby Cornwall, Nathan, Connor, Dom, Devin and the entire The Attention Seeker team for helping me embrace my nemesis.....social media! When you're working with pros it doesn't feel like "work" and it actually makes you feel comfortable in your most uncomfortable zone. I never could have imagined how much I've learned in such a short period of time, all while really enjoying playing in the sandbox of social media. Make no mistake - I now understand the power of social media in launching a new category of products in healthcare. The ability to educate people, bring experts to the table from around the world sharing information on a professional level and directly with consumers and patients can and has dramatically changed the way we practice medicine. It's an exciting and very different time for those of us who have been in healthcare for years. We must embrace technology while bringing our knowledge, skills and expertise to the table. As for me, I'm turning my focus in medicine towards supporting people to take better care of themselves and live healthier - from my perspective creating ways to improve "self-care" is the best way to contribute to the future of medicine. Take it from me, it's well worth the effort of confronting your discomfort with social media and embracing it instead. It's an incredible tool - bringing the world closer and closer together from every corner of the globe. For our team at Silicon Valley Innovations its so exciting to be embracing and unleashing the power of social media just as we're about to hit our stride and planning our growth over the next few years. If you've found us on social media, make sure to share with your friends and we'd love to hear your feedback. Don't be a dinosaur like I was....it's 2025 and social media is alive and well here in New Zealand and everywhere else!!! Let's do this!!! 🎉 🤩 ✨
