Vol. 12 No. 1 (2025)

The articles in VLC#12.1 address the complexity and richness of contemporary architectural design from different perspectives: the question of ornament and its connection to structure; architecture's resistance to being considered a mere capitalist commodity; experiences of citizen participation in transforming public space in Valencia; problems of copying and authorship in the work of Mies; the historical design processes of Spanish late Gothic architecture; issues of time and prefabrication in the work of B. Fuller; and the study of passive strategies for acoustic control in public buildings. These are all topics that inspire a critical will that reclaims architecture as an intellectual, technical, cultural, and social practice. The section "Findings in Architectural Projects" address the complex relationship between architecture and research from diverse perspectives, offering a multifaceted view of the subject.
