Just returned from an unforgettable journey with the Rockhurst University EMBA cohort, exploring Marrakech and Lisbon — two cities rich in culture, history, and innovation. In Marrakech, we immersed ourselves in the vibrant rhythms of Morocco: from the bustling medina and colorful souks, to hands-on experiences in artisan workshops and a visit to the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains. In Lisbon, we walked the city’s winding hills, soaked in its architectural beauty, and were moved by the soul-stirring sounds of a live Fado performance. Beyond the cultural experiences, the most impactful moments came from our company visits, where we explored a range of business models, strategies, and social innovation. Still buzzing from Summit Baja! It was a total thrill to join the stage at Summit and share our vision for urban regeneration at Raiz Vertical Farms. Yes, the community stage - but still felt like flying, sharing space with living legends like Peter H. Diamandis, Wim Hof, Prof G., Jeff Rosenthal, Kat Cole, Courtney Boyd Rey (née Myers), and many other bold, big-hearted builders. From conversations with founders and thought leaders I admire, to new friends and partners like Rebecca Kaykas-Wolff, Tim West, Katie Morgenroth, Nathan E. Minett, RA, Eduardo Parada, James Wolf, and a whole wave of inspiring people - the potential was infinite. The sense of growth? Boundless. Grateful for the chance to share our story with a community that keeps pushing the boundaries across technology, consciousness, impact... and food!
