Report concerns confidentially

Whistleblowers, witnesses and others who speak up play an important role in helping Nefco identify and address incidents, wrongdoings and integrity issues in Nefco-financed projects and activities.

To facilitate reporting to Nefco and to protect whistleblowers, Nefco has an independent whistleblowing platform. The platform provides an easily accessible and secure tool through which anyone can notify us of serious wrongdoing affecting people, our funds, organisation, society, or the environment. This includes criminal offenses, human rights violations, complaints or breaches of Nefco’s Legal Framework or applicable laws, as long as they relate to Nefco activities.

Proof is not required, but reports must be made in good faith.

Your message will be securely handled

Reports are quickly and securely handled through Nefco’s whistleblowing platform, which is provided in collaboration with NAVEX WhistleB. The WhistleB platform ensures anonymity via encrypted, password-protected communication. An independent law firm (Wiersholm, based in Norway) receives and undertakes the initial assessment of information submitted through the platform. If the information submitted through the platform is related to Nefco activities and within Nefco’s mandate, the information will be forwarded to Nefco’s Ethics and Compliance Department. If the report in any way relates to the Ethics and Compliance Department itself, the matter is handled through a separate, similarly independent process.

Nefco acknowledges the importance of whistleblowers and witnesses in exposing and addressing different kinds of wrongdoing. Nefco’s policies set out principles for protection against retaliation of whistleblowers and witnesses.
