How can Swedish companies better capture the opportunities that India and China offer? To thrive in the global competition and stay resilient in turbulent times, we need to increase our presence where there is growth. Business Sweden, together with Västsvenska Handelskammaren, invites you to a seminar designed to deepen your knowledge and provide inspiration on how Swedish companies can succeed in India and China, guided by unique insights and perspectives from our Trade Commissioners Sofia Högman and Per Portén. The seminar will address key questions such as: • What is driving growth in India and China, and what opportunities exist for Swedish exports? • What does it mean for European companies as India and China accelerate in innovation and technological development? • What impact can we expect from US tariffs and other global trade turbulence? These topics will also be discussed in a panel conversation featuring, among others, Ranjit Jakkli, owner and CEO KraftPowercon and Elin Österlindh, Vice President Business Development at Volvo Trucks International. The moderator will be Åsa Tegelberg from Västsvenska Handelskammaren. Details: 19 november, 08:30-11:00 Västsvenska Handelskammaren, Göteborg Register for the seminar here: https://lnkd.in/dqi6hMvt

Today, representatives of Sweden’s official business delegation to COP30, representing all sectors of an economy, publishes a joint Op-Ed in Sweden’s leading business newspaper, Dagens Industri, calling on global decision-makers to: 1. Set clear, predictable, and long-term targets to mobilize capital and innovation. 2. Introduce policies – such as tax incentives, carbon pricing mechanisms, emissions trading and fossil subsidy removal – to create markets for sustainable solutions. 3. Harmonize standards and strengthen sustainability criteria in procurement to drive demand for circular and climate-smart solutions. 4. Build capacity and transfer knowledge to remove local barriers, strengthen institutional capacity and attractiveness for investment. 5. Ensure an inclusive and just transition by involving private sector climate leaders, academia and civil society to make policies effective, fit for purpose and free from unnecessary bureaucracy. Read the article here: https://lnkd.in/d-Q_9Zz2 We welcome that COP30 is described as the “Implementation COP”, focused on accelerating the delivery of the NDCs. Sweden brings a strong track record and a wide range of scalable solutions to turn pledges into projects – making the NDCs both investable and actionable. Together, let's bridge the implementation gaps. #Sweden #COP30 #SwedenTheClimateMatchmaker #SwedenatCOP

Svenska företag behövs i globala utvecklingsprojekt! We are honoured to once again bring together some of Sweden’s most innovative companies, governmental agencies, and climate leaders to COP: Adapteo Group, AFRY, Alfa Laval, BCC Plant the Planet, ClimateView, Doconomy, EKN Exportkreditnämnden, E.ON, EQT Group, Flower, Hitachi Energy, IKEA, Ingrid Capacity, Minesto, Normative.io, Ragn-Sells, Scania Group, Sekab, Sida, Siemens Energy, SKF Group, Spowdi, SSAB, Svenskt Näringsliv, The Swedish Energy Agency International, Tetra Pak, and TrusTrace. Thank you to the climate and business leaders who joined today’s press conference. Your message was clear: “Solutions exist. We look forward to supporting ambitious outcomes for COP30 and beyond.
