Cemvision is pleased to announce that significant progress has been made in allowing more climate-friendly construction in Sweden. We’ve been part of the SIS/TK190 committee tasked with working on the new national concrete standard (SS 137003). The most notable and climate-friendly addition to the standards is that supersulphated cement (SSC) – a well-known binder with an exceptionally low carbon footprint – will now be permitted for use in Sweden. This unlocks the use of Cemvision’s groundbreaking cement Re-ment Massive in a wide range of applications. Cemvision has Sweden’s biggest concrete users lined up to make the shift to truly sustainable building. This is excellent news for the climate and everyone who wants to build the future on a circular green foundation. Tomorrow, Cemvision’s co-founder and CTO, Claes Kollberg, will introduce Supersulphated Cement at a webinar hosted by Svenska institutet för standarder, SIS. Cemvision omdelade detta Two great weeks on the road for Cemvision—and for the cleantech industry. Thank you, Embassy of Brazil in Stockholm for inviting me to the 2025 Brazil–Sweden Innovation Week. This showcased cross-border innovation at its best. We discussed how circular feedstocks and bankable project models can help decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors, such as the cement and steel industries. Secondly, thank you to UIC - Uppsala Innovation Centre and Niclas Stjernberg for hosting one of the most amazing events this year, Innovation Night 2025. Fantastic energy from Sweden’s tech community and very inspiring to listen to Jonas Listenius at Magstrom and Olle Gelin at AirForestry And, of course, big congratulations to the winners of Disruptor of the Year, MyCural Therapeutics. Grateful to the organizers, partners, and everyone leaning in to scale real industrial solutions. If you’re building with or buying cement, concrete, or low-carbon materials, let’s connect. #ClimateTech #IndustrialDecarbonization #Cement #Innovation #EnergyTransition

Cemvision has been named one of MIT Technology Review’s 10 “ClimateTech Companies to Watch 2025” — It’s an honor we’re truly proud of and a major recognition for the whole team and our mission to decarbonize one of the world’s hardest-to-abate industries. “To be named among MIT Technology Review’s Climate Tech Companies to Watch is validation that Cemvision’s model is both visionary and viable. We’re not just pioneering cleaner cement — we’re building a profitable, scalable pathway for the industry to follow.”, says Cemvision CEO Oscar Hållén. Claes Kollberg, Co-Founder and CTO of Cemvision: “Our innovation rethinks both the material and the production process. It proves that there’s a clear pathway to truly sustainable cement — not in the distant future, but today. And unlike CCS solutions that try to capture emissions after they’re created, we eliminate them from the start — without costly add-ons or retrofits.” Thank you to MIT Technology Review for highlighting the urgent importance of transforming the materials we use to build our world. And thank you to employees, partners, and supporters who share this vision. Read more here: https://ter.li/3a15wq

Proud ambassadors of Swedish innovation This week, Cemvision’s Hedvig Axberg had the opportunity to take part in a knowledge exchange hosted by Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT) and the SEI – Stockholm Environment Institute, welcoming a South Korean delegation to Sweden to explore pathways for industrial decarbonization. The visit, organized by Business Sweden Korea, brought together journalists from the Korea Broadcast Journalists Association and researchers from the 에너지전환포럼 (Energy Transition Forum KOREA) – all eager to learn how low-carbon pathways are being implemented in practice. Cemvision was proud to share our progress in developing near-zero-emission cement, showcasing how innovation in building materials can help accelerate the green transition. Alongside us, fellow LeadIT members, including Stegra presented pioneering work in green steel, carbon markets, and industry transitions.

We are Slagnostics! Cemvision proudly announces a pioneering technology that transforms underutilized, low-value Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF) and Basic Oxygen Furnaces (BOF) slags into a high-performance Supplementary Cementitious Material (SCM). Each year, over 55 million tonnes of steel slag are generated in the EU. More than half of it goes unused, often landfilled at great cost. Cemvision's patent-pending beneficiation process upcycles the slag into a premium SCM that: 💪 Outperforms or matches GGBS in both reactivity and glass content 🔄 Recovers up to 99% of iron oxide, returning it to the steelmaking cycle 🪙 Extracts other valuable metals 👷♂️ Shows both technical feasibility and commercial potential through third-party testing with the world-leading metallurgical research institute, Swerim AB Cemvisions CEO, Oscar Hållén, comments: "This is a game-changer not only for the cement industry but for steel producers as well. Our process enables high-performing cement products from materials that would otherwise be treated as waste. With this innovation, we're proving that decarbonization and circularity can go hand in hand, and at scale."
