🌍 No sector can act alone - we must act together. Today, at the One Health Conference in Copenhagen hosted under the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU 2025, I had the opportunity to present the work of the EU Cross-agency One Health Task Force, on behalf of five EU agencies. The Task Force brings together five EU agencies, ECDC, EFSA, EMA, ECHA, and EEA, to advance a shared vision: enable EU agencies to successfully contribute to the implementation of the One Health approach in Europe, to strengthen the ability of the EU and its Member States to respond to health crises. Our 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (2024–2026) sets out strategic objectives across: ➡️ strategic coordination of One Health efforts across agencies and Member States; ➡️ partnerships and joint activities to link human, animal, and environmental health initiatives; ➡️ research coordination to bridge evidence and policy; Communication and stakeholder engagement to strengthen trust and transparency; ➡️ capacity building to ensure preparedness and resilience. 🦠 From zoonotic disease surveillance to antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and climate-driven health threats, the Task Force is committed to translating the One Health approach into concrete collaboration and impact. This week’s Joint Statement for World One Health Day 2025, co-signed by the Task Force and the European and Central Asia Quadripartite, highlights a simple truth: to safeguard the health of people, animals, and the planet, we must act together, across sectors, disciplines, and borders. #OneHealth #PublicHealth #CrossSectoralCollaboration #EUAgencies #WorldOneHealthDay #EUOneHealth2025
