In 1957, Eleiko crafted the first barbell to last an entire weightlifting competition — debuting at the 1963 World Weightlifting Championships in Stockholm, Sweden. Twelve years later, in 1969, our partnership with the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) began — a collaboration that has shaped the sport at the highest level for decades. As we celebrate 2025 World Weightlifting Day, marking 120 years of strength and community, we’re proud to stand alongside the IWF in supporting the athletes, coaches, and federations who continue to raise the bar for our sport. #RaiseTheBar

2 days to go until Førde. The Eleiko team is on-site in Norway ahead of the 2025 IWF World Championships, taking place October 2–11. One of the biggest events in global weightlifting, the World Championships brings together the world’s strongest athletes to compete on the international stage. In partnership with the IWF, this year’s event also marks a major milestone for us — the next generation of Eleiko Barbells will make their official competition debut when lifting begins this Thursday. #RaiseTheBar

This week, we had the pleasure of hosting the Taipei Weightlifting Team at Eleiko HQ as they prepare for the 2025 IWF World Championships in Førde, Norway. After making history as the Philippines’ first Olympic Gold medalist, Hidilyn Diaz faced a choice: rest on her achievement or build a legacy that lifts others. She chose to build something bigger.
