Om oss
In 1960, Åke Nordin founded Fjällräven in the Swedish town of Örnsköldsvik. Since then, Fjällräven has made a commitment to high quality and high-end design, while staying true to our mission of developing timeless, functional and durable outdoor equipment, acting responsible towards people, animals and nature and inspiring people to get outside. We want to inspire and enable more people to experience nature. We do this by developing clothing and equipment that make the outside safer, warmer, dryer and generally more enjoyable. And by running events that provide the framework and support to make nature more accessible. We’re a team of nature lovers, some more experienced than others, that likes to spend as much time outdoors as possible. In our offices and our stores we are designers, product developers, buyers, administrators, marketers, communicators, sales staff, customer service reps and business developers. In nature though, we’re all the same. Do you want to help us to inspire and enable more people to walk with nature? We're always interested in people who want to join our trek. Packing light can make all the difference when you’re out on a multi-day trek. By packing light, you’ll ease the strain on your body and feel freer as you hike, making your journey all the more enjoyable. Several of you have asked what Fjällräven’s Johanna Andersson packed for her multi-day trek through the Swedish mountains — a journey covering more than 1,320 km over the course of 56 days. In this video, Johanna shares what she packs for a seven-day trek. Check out the video to see Johanna’s main essentials for seven days on the trail, laid out before being packed into her backpack. In our opinion, ‘good’ outdoor gear not only has to function well, it has to do so over a long time too. This year sees the release of new Fjällräven shells constructed with the latest GORE-TEX ePE membrane. These best-in-class materials allow you to go deeper into the wilderness, or push higher into alpine regions. In designing these new shells, one of the goals of the Fjällräven product developers was to ensure they would be functional, durable, and importantly, more repairable than ever, all so that they can stay in use for longer. In an industry with vital environmental regulations, and products that require years of testing and refinement, innovation can be a slow process. We believe this renewed partnership has enabled a significant step forward. https://lnkd.in/gR49HN7M #FjallravenxGORETEX

We recently unveiled our new trekking and mountaineering shells featuring the latest GORE-TEX membranes made without intentionally added PFAS. But did you know that Fjällräven and Gore actually go way back? Our CEO, Martin, shares a little insight into our shared heritage in this video. GORE-TEX Brand #FjallravenxGORETEX

At the heart of Fjällräven lies a simple but powerful idea: to inspire and encourage people to discover outdoor life. Trekking has always been central to that mission, with the Keb family representing the pinnacle of technical trekking gear. Therefore, the Fall/Winter 2025 Keb collection provides the perfect opportunity to present Fjällräven’s renewed partnership with the GORE-TEX Brand, marking a major step forward in performance shell garments. #FjallravenxGORETEX

We’re proud and excited to officially announce the launch of the new Fjällräven GORE-TEX products. Did you know that the last time we worked together was in the early 1990s after we became one of the first brands in Europe to utilise GORE-TEX product technologies? Well, it’s time for another round now. This collaboration is the result of a shared passion for the outdoors, forward-thinking innovation in high-performance gear, and a joint commitment to environmental responsibility. Engineered for durability and functionality — this is the next level in hardshell design. Learn more about the new Fjällräven products with GORE-TEX technology here. GORE-TEX Brand

In Sweden, there’s this thing called ‘Allemansrätten’, or ‘Right of Public Access’, which gives everyone the freedom to roam in nature. That privilege is what Fjällräven was born out of. Allemansrätten is also the foundation of our deep respect for nature, making sustainability and CSR our guiding principles. In fact, we like to say we’re on a special kind of ‘trek’ with sustainability and CSR. One that’s ongoing and has no finish line – only checkpoints along the trail. The locations of these checkpoints change, and new ones are always being added, but we’ve been able to map them out in our 2024 sustainability and CSR summary.
