    The design competition “Beam Me Up, Scotty!” was organized by +Studio /diagonal and had representatives from Scandinavian countries. This innovative competition links new emerging design talents with well known designers in pairs, each pair is meant to manage a design process over the Internet, with the intent of creating a future megatrend based concept. Designers were asked to create the future in 2030, the problem and the solution; future application, to solve future problem based on current megatrends.

    All the final projects were prototyped between the 12th and 16th of September at +Studio stand in Helsinki’s Habitare Design Fair, which was part of the World Design Capital Helsinki.
