Earlier this autumn, Business Sweden co-organized a Study Visit to Stockholm and Gothenburg with the French hospital federation Unicancer, alongside co-organizer Vision Zero Cancer | Testbed Sweden Precision Health Cancer, with a planned follow-up delegation to France in early 2026 to continue dialogues and foster cross-border collaboration. The Study Visit was conducted over three days, and over the course of the program the delegation got the opportunity to visit key healthcare and research facilities, engage with oncology specialists, and get an insight into Swedish innovations in the cancer field. Throughout the program, we explored how precision medicine can be applied in both diagnostics and therapy, and across different pillars of cancer care; from surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy, to rapidly evolving or emerging modalities like immunotherapy and theranostics. A warm thank you to all participants, speakers, organisations and for your contributions and commitment to improving cancer care. This visit was a testament to the power of cross-border collaboration in accelerating innovation and delivering better outcomes for patients. Special thanks to: Unicancer, Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset, Karolinska Institutet, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, SciLifeLab, Forskaren, GoCo Health Innovation City, CCRM Nordic, AstraZeneca, BioVentureHub, Akademiska sjukhuset, Region Halland, and Vinnova. Yesterday, Business Sweden in Spain hosted a breakfast seminar with Andrés Pedreño Muñoz, one of Spain’s and Europe’s leading voices in Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation. Together with the members of the Sweden Spain Green Alliance, we discussed Europe’s role in the global AI landscape, especially in comparison to Asia and the U.S., and explored how smart regulation and strategic implementation can help European, particularly Swedish, companies regain competitiveness. Andrés left us with a powerful message that captured the spirit of the conversation: “We must be epic in this era.” A call to be more curious, to dare to innovate, and to claim our space in the global AI context. Thank you to all participants for your active engagement and for contributing to a dialogue rich in actionable insights and unique perspectives. Transport is an essential enabler of trade, including via maritime links and especially so for both Sweden and Ireland. With 20% of all Swedish foreign trade overall going through the Port of Gothenburg – Scandinavia’s largest port – while over 90% of goods arrive in Ireland by sea, this set the context for yesterday's high-level roundtable on Sustainability and Resilience in Transport, co-hosted by Business Sweden and Embassy of Sweden in Ireland in partnership with Stena Line. Marking the occasion of Stena Line’s 30th anniversary on the Dublin-Holyhead route, Business Sweden were pleased to take part in such a dynamic discussion involving senior representatives from leading Swedish companies and exporters including Stena Line, AstraZeneca, Ericsson, Hitachi Energy, Volvo Buses and Volvo Cars. With excellent moderation by the The Irish Maritime Development Office (IMDO) Director Liam Lacey, we were also thrilled to be joined by the Irish Department of Transport, as well as the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland, Dublin Port, Irish Ferries and Rosslare Europort. Interested to join the conversation? Reach out to our team in the UK and Ireland: Gustaf B., Samiksha Jalan and Susanna Silversol. #TransportLeadership #SustainabilityInAction #StenaLine30Years
