Sponsored by the DEG Impulse and Elekta, the project covers 14 major population centers in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The primary goal – to improve the in-country cervical cancer treatment capabilities, and to provide infrastructure to support cervical cancer patients in their recovery journey. Learn more about the origins of this project in the below link Cervical cancer is a significant problem in the low and middle income countries. In 2022, the World Health Organization estimated that there were 69,833 new cases in Southeast Asia, with over 38,000 deaths.
