  • Berge Bulk is a proud sponsor of the Philippines' newest maritime museum: Museo del Galéon. ⚓DID YOU KNOW?⚓ For 250 years, Manila was a key port in the Manila-Acapulco Galleon Trade, which brought silver from Acapulco in Mexico to the Spanish colonies in Manila. The Museo del Galéon, opening in 2026 in the Philippines, will showcase this unforgettable history. As a major sponsor, we had the privilege of joining the pre-opening hard hat tour through the main halls. We were also excited to donate a model of Berge Olympus, the world’s most powerful sailing cargo ship, to the museum. She will be part of the museum's collection, a beautiful picture of maritime heritage and innovation all in one place. #BergeBulk #MuseodelGaleon

  • At Berge Bulk, mental wellbeing isn’t a one-day topic. It’s part of our YouMatter programme, designed to support every colleague, at sea and on shore.   At sea, two trained Care Buddies on every ship act as volunteer metal health counsellors, offering a safe, supportive, and confidential space for crew to talk, seek guidance, and find comfort when they need it most.   On shore, trained Mental Health Champions lead by example - promoting awareness, encouraging open conversations, and helping to create a culture where everyone feels heard, supported, and valued. We also run mental wellbeing workshops that help our teams recognise stress, build resilience, and support one another.   We also have Well@Sea, our crew engagement app - a platform filled with helpful tools, tips, and resources to support mental wellbeing and build healthy habits on board.   Because when we care for our people, we strengthen everything we stand for.    #WorldMentalHealthDay #BergeBulk #YouMatter #WellAtSea #WellbeingAtSea #TeamSpirit #LifeAtSea

  • Today marks the sixth observance of the UN’s International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste. At Berge Bulk, we serve nearly 2 million meals every year, so we take our responsibility to minimise food waste seriously.    Our goal: reduce average food waste per vessel by 10% by 2025 (vs. 2021 baseline). With focused action, we’re already well on track.   We tackle the four leading causes of food waste onboard by: - Planning meals before ingredients expire - Finding creative ways to use meat trimmings and fruit peels - Right-sizing portions to avoid leftovers - Encouraging clean plates   Making sure that every meal is #GreatTasteLessWaste.   #BergeBulk #BlueMatters #FoodWaste #FAO80 #FLWDay FAO

  • India Officers Conference 2025: Living Our Values Together   Last week, we brought together 70 officers in India for the Officers Conference - three days dedicated to connecting, learning, and aligning on our shared purpose.   The conference opened with a 90-minute deep dive into Berge Bulk’s values - Integrity, Action, Team Spirit, and Excellence. Our CEO shared why these values are critical to Berge Bulk’s success, before officers broke into discussions to share real-life stories of living these values at sea and ashore.   From safety to operations, procurement to dry docking, every session reinforced how our values guide decision-making and unite us as one team. This conference was more than a forum for updates, it was a celebration of culture and leadership in action.   #BergeBulk #Leadership #OfficersConference

  • At Berge Bulk, we believe that the choices we make today shape the world of tomorrow. As part of our Maritime Marshall Plan for decarbonisation, we have been planting seedlings in Kenya in partnership with veritree. Starting in 2024, we have already grown 1 million trees together - a long term investment in a healthier planet and a more resilient future. This is just one example of one project, with one partner, in one country. Altogether, Berge Bulk is planting 25 million trees worldwide. Although the full environmental benefits may take years to realise, our vision is clear - to lead the world to a zero carbon future. #BergeBulk #Sustainability #Decarbonisation #Veritree #CarbonCapture #MaritimeMarshallPlan

  • At Berge Bulk, we believe the future of shipping is shaped by those bold enough to challenge the norm. Later this year, we’ll be taking another bold step - welcoming female seafarers to our fleet for the first time. Their capability, perspective, and leadership will help shape a culture where excellence has no gender, and inclusion isn’t an initiative, it’s who we are. #BergeBulk #BiggerBolderBraver #WomenAtSea
