  • 🌿 𝗘𝘂 𝗬𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝟭𝟰𝟲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱 For 146 years, Eu Yan Sang (余仁生) has remained steadfast in our mission of 仁泽众生 — “Caring for Mankind.” Since our founding in 1879, this purpose has guided us as we preserve the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) while evolving to meet modern wellness needs.    As part of our 146th anniversary celebrations in Singapore, we commissioned a special live wall mural, hand-painted by students and alumni from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts(NAFA) at Tampines Mall over seven days (8–14 October 2025). More than a work of art, this mural is a living visual narrative of our brand’s journey — deeply rooted in tradition yet forward-looking in spirit.    The artwork traces our story from our first shophouse along South Bridge Road to the TCM care we provide today. It features heritage icons like our Gold Label Bak Foong Pills, the evolution of our brand identity from 仁生 to the “Champion Cup” and today’s tree logo and celebrates the generations of families we have been privileged to serve.    The live mural was part of a wider week-long anniversary showcase designed to immerse visitors in our heritage. Highlights included a heritage display of early TCM tools and past Bak Foong packaging, a holographic showcase of our brand story, a product sampling booth, and a fun, educational “Know Your Herbs” game.   • 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐈𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝, 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐫?  Recently, we discovered counterfeit versions of Eu Yan Sang products being sold online via unauthorised and misleading platforms. These weren’t casual copycats. They were deliberate, engineered counterfeits — complete with fake packaging, exaggerated claims, and social ads carefully designed and placed to mislead. Our first instinct was to ask: 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐮𝐬? The answer was humbling.  𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 – 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. To many, our logo is more than just a name. It means safety, credibility, and assurance. And that’s precisely what the counterfeiters were exploiting. They weren’t selling a product — they were selling the illusion of trust, by exploiting a name people have come to trust. Thankfully, some vigilant customers paused, asked questions, and walked into our stores — helping us uncover this issue early. We took immediate steps to protect our customers through these actions:   ● Issued public advisories.  ● Reported the case to authorities and regulators.  ● Requested takedowns from online platforms.  ● Equipped our frontline teams with SOPs to assist affected customers. But beyond the immediate actions, this incident prompted a deeper reflection for us as brand custodians. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝? When someone fakes your brand, they aren't just stealing a look — they're trying to mimic everything that took years to build.  Trust isn’t built or given overnight, and we are grateful to the generations of customers who have placed their trust in us. This trust is a responsibility that we take seriously. Every product we offer is backed by rigorous QA/QC checks, regulatory compliance, and careful sourcing.  Because behind every product - it is our people and our processes that stands behind it. This year, we are honoured to collaborate with Hong Kong’s rehabilitation service organization – 扶康會 Fu Hong Society – to take part in the Madam Hong’s Bakery’s charity cookie sale. “Madam Hong’s Bakery” is operated by Fu Hong Society’s Ngai Shing Workshop, jointly run by professional bakers and people with disabilities, creating employment opportunities and fostering social inclusion.   Over the past two weeks, we held charity cookie sale at Eu Yan Sang Hong Kong offices and selected Eu Yan Sang Hong Kong retail stores. During the event, Eu Yan Sang customers enthusiastically supported the handmade cookies produced by “Madam Hong’s Bakery” and the original art gifts created by artists with disabilities from the Fu Hong Art Hub. All proceeds from the charity sale will be donated in full to Fu Hong Society to support charitable causes. It is truly inspiring to witness the collective effort of promoting social inclusion in the community.   This collaboration is not just a charity sale, but a heartfelt connection. We firmly believe that the value of a company is not only reflected in its performance but also in its commitment and contribution to society.   • We are excited to announce the launch of the Eu Yan Sang x Parkway Shenton Integrative Clinical Care Protocol for Hypertension, a pioneering model that bridges Western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Commencing 1 August, this protocol enables Parkway Shenton GPs and Eu Yan Sang TCM physicians within both networks to co-manage patients with hypertension through cross-referral. It combines diagnostic rigour, blood pressure monitoring, herbal remedies, and mind-body practices, supporting better long-term outcomes.   In tandem, we’ve introduced a new Integrative Health Screening at our first co-located clinic, Parkway Shenton | Eu Yan Sang TCM Clinic @ Guoco Tower.     Eu Yan Sang is honoured to have participated in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan 🌏, a global event expected to welcome over 28 million visitors from around the world. On 30 June 2025 during the Health and Well-being Week, Eu Yan Sang held an event in the Singapore Pavillion to talk about the principles, benefits, and application of Traditional Chinese Medicine and possibilities for integration into today’s modern healthcare system. At the event, our leaders, Mr. Richard Eu, Group Chairman and Mr. Satoshi Yoshida, Acting Group CEO and Chief Strategy Officer together with Dr Peter Chow, CEO of IHH Healthcare Singapore, Dr Masahiro Nakano, Director and Ms. Hiroe Shinohara, Chief Public Health Nurse of Shin-Oyama City Hospital spoke on the possibilities of integrating TCM into the Singapore healthcare system and how Kampo, Japan’s traditional herbal medicine practice has successfully integrated into Japan’s healthcare system. Mr. Richard Eu shared Eu Yan Sang’s heritage and mission of Caring for Mankind and journey over the last 146 years since our founding in 1879. Additionally, Mr. Satoshi Yoshida provided insights into TCM and Kampo and the potential for TCM in Singapore. In a fireside chat, our distinguished panellists discussed how TCM could possibly be integrated into Singapore’s healthcare system through collaborative initiatives with Singapore’s leading medical institutions.
