Innovation stole the spotlight at the 17th UNGCNS Summit! We are incredibly proud to celebrate the winners of the Young SDG Leaders Award 2025, who delivered exceptional, real-world solutions to accelerate the 'Forward Faster' agenda. These student teams weren't just theoretical, they built actionable tools for major companies. Champion: Team SDGeniuses (Ngee Ann Polytechnic) developed K-CALC for "K" Line Pte Ltd. This AI-powered digital dashboard automates and simplifies the calculation of complex Scope 3 emissions, making reporting transparent and regulatory-ready. 1st Runner-up: Team LFG (Dunman High School) tackled wealth management for Bank of Singapore. Their Holistic Climate Wealth Engine calculates Climate Value-at-Risk (CVaR) across clients' entire balance sheets, creating new revenue streams and securing multi-generational client loyalty. 2nd Runner-up: Team Kairos (NUS & SMU) created EY TWINVERSE for EY Singapore. This digital twin platform provides affordable emissions modeling for SMEs while simultaneously unlocking new consulting revenue and advancing EY's Net Zero goals. The next generation isn't waiting. They're building the solutions! Congratulations to all the teams for showing us what collective leadership looks like. #YSDGLA2025 #UNGCNS #ForwardFaster #YouthInnovation #SustainabilitySolutions #FutureofESG

🌍 Today is UN Day: a moment to reaffirm our shared commitment to peace, cooperation and collective progress. It marks the anniversary of the UN Charter's entry into force in 1945. The majority of its signatories, including the five permanent members of the Security Council, ratified this founding document, officially establishing the United Nations. As the world navigates complex challenges such as climate change, digital disruption and growing inequality, the private sector plays an increasingly vital role in upholding the UN’s mission and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals. Here in Singapore, UN Global Compact Network Singapore (UNGCNS) stands with the UN Global Compact and our global partners in calling for modernized, inclusive multilateralism that engages businesses as active contributors to a sustainable and equitable future. At our recent UNGCNS Summit, leaders across business, finance and government reaffirmed that collaboration is the currency of progress. The message carried through to the Singapore Apex Corporate Sustainability Awards, where we celebrated companies turning ambition into action — proving that when purpose meets partnership, real change happens. These moments reflect a growing movement in Singapore where businesses are showing that sustainability and competitiveness go hand in hand, driving innovation, inclusivity and long-term value for both people and planet. Together, we can build a fair and forward-looking economy that supports decent work, empowers communities and contributes to global stability. 🤝 As the UN approaches its 80th anniversary, let’s continue to champion the UN’s vision here in Singapore and beyond. 📖 Read the UN Global Compact’s joint statement on modernising multilateralism: https://lnkd.in/e4ExNury #UNDay #GlobalGoals #UNGlobalCompact #UNGCNS #Sustainability #Multilateralism #Singapore
