We were thrilled to host HR leaders across industries at our HRO x Darwinbox CHRO luncheon in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, exploring how people tech and AI are shaping the future of work! Held at the Microsoft Malaysia office, the session began with a welcome address by by Darwinbox's Eric Heung, followed by Microsoft’s Vivek Chatrath who shared insights on the role of HR in change management. We then enjoyed a live demo by Aditya Ashokkumar Bolabandi who took us through Darwinbox’s agentic experience. Over a networking lunch, we had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, share experiences in leveraging HR tech, address and discuss any adoption challenges, and explore how cross-department collaboration can make digital transformation smoother. Key takeaways from the day: 👉🏼Employee-centric HR tech: Building the platform around the employee rather than the process, with native modules for payroll, expenses, documents, surveys, and more, is going to be the #1 differentiator. 👉🏼 AI and Gen AI for workflow automation: AI is being applied to talent acquisition, workflow generation, and job description creation, reducing deployment time from days to hours while ensuring bias detection, explainability, and governance. 👉🏼 Connected lifecycle and systems: Integration across position management, recruitment, talent management, performance, and succession planning has the potential to enable seamless employee journeys and skill mapping. 👉🏼 Configurable policies and role-based access: HR teams must look to design policies, deploy workflows, and create cohorts with flexibility, while maintaining control and organisational compliance. A huge thank you to Eric, Vivek, and Aditya for their engaging presentations, and to all attendees for making this workshop such a meaningful and energising session!
