Sharing moments from the Cochin launch of Futurepoint Cabs, a social outreach program by IBS Foundation. Sri. P. Rajeev, Honourable Minister for Industries, Law and Coir, Government of Kerala, attended the event. Jayan Nair, Chief People Officer at IBS Software, delivered the welcome address, and our Founder and Executive Chairman, V K Mathews, offered the opening remarks, followed by the traditional lamp lighting ceremony. Futurepoint Cabs is a not-for-profit initiative designed to transform lives by putting women in the driver’s seat. Participants undergo structured training that includes driving expertise, maintenance, customer service, financial literacy, digital skills, and self-defence. Upon certification, graduates transition into professional roles as cab drivers, supported by a technology-enabled platform, featuring user-friendly apps for both drivers and riders. The first cohort of 13 drivers is already operational in Cochin, and training for the next group of 25 is underway. The vision is to enable more than 1,000 women to participate in this transformative program over the next few years. Our sincerest congratulations to all involved in this initiative!
