  • We recently hosted our annual TalentTrust #MentorMixer at The Foundry to celebrate the incredible mentors who power our mission and connect the dots across Singapore’s social impact ecosystem. Our mentors, non-profit leaders, and corporate partners filled the room with energy, ideas, and stories of collaboration. Thank you all for showing up, sharing, and shaping this growing community of changemakers! This community truly represents the best of what Singapore’s skills-based volunteering ecosystem has to offer. 🇸🇬 We kicked off with inspiring reflections from our board members, Richie Eu and Dr. Hsien-Hsien Lei, who shared highlights from an amazing year: 🚀 $450K raised through our inaugural Charity Golf & Dinner 🤝 Multiple new partnerships with corporates and associations 💡 17 Accelerator projects ongoing or completed ❤️ Collaborated with 145 nonprofits and 210 volunteers - and counting! We also celebrated our Mentor Award winners — Fayeruz Surahman, Yan Yi Chee and Isha Majithia Bhatia — whose dedication truly embodies what skills-based volunteering is all about. 🏆 And a special shoutout to Lydia Lok from Curious Thoughts Giving, who shared her journey through a TalentTrust #Accelerator project - a beautiful reminder of how mentorship fuels real-world change. ✨ Skills-based volunteering is where purpose meets expertise. It’s not just about giving time, it’s about sharing what you know to help nonprofits grow stronger, smarter, and more sustainable. When professionals lend their skills to mission-driven organisations, they unlock new ways of thinking, strengthen leadership, and multiply impact across the sector. 💪 To our mentors, partners, and supporters - you are the heart of TalentTrust ❤️ Thank you for your time, your expertise, and your belief that collaboration creates lasting impact! #TalentTrust #SocialImpact #skillsbasedvolunteering #mentormixer Lisa Gainer Priya Ravi Mandy Lim Fadillah A Rahman Aren Tang

  • In today’s crowded information landscape, clarity and conviction matter more than ever. That’s why TalentTrust’s #LevelUp Learning Series focuses on equipping non-profit professionals with practical, high-impact communication skills. Our recent PR 101 session — led by Maureen Tseng and Bernice Tay from The Hoffman Agency, and supported by PRCA APAC — helped participants rethink how they tell their organization’s story. We explored how to move beyond updates and announcements, towards messages that articulate who you are, why you matter, and why your story deserves to be heard. For many non-profits, PR, communications, and social media rest on the shoulders of one person. The session offered realistic, actionable strategies for: 💡 Using AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity.ai to maximize limited resources and spark creativity 🗞️ Crafting story pitches that align with journalists’ interests and the public agenda 🎯 Building relationships and credibility with media over time 💪 Refining and retelling stories until they find their moment We hope our non-profit partners left the session with fresh confidence — and new ways to communicate their purpose, capture attention, and turn awareness into advocacy. At its heart, effective PR isn’t about promotion — it’s about persistence and purpose. When non-profits tell their stories strategically, they don’t just raise visibility — they build understanding, trust, and long-term support for their mission. We look forward to hosting many more Level Up workshops for our non-profit partners in the months to come! #TalentTrust #socialimpact #skillsbasedvolunteering #PR101

  • Last Friday, our volunteers embarked on a learning journey with 3Pumpkins which turned into more than just a visit; it became an invitation to rethink how we engage with community. Founder Shiyun Lin shared the vision and story behind #3Pumpkins, including why Boon Lay became the starting point for their work. As we toured the space, observed play sessions, and walked through the neighbourhood - from senior rental flats to Boon Lay Shopping Centre - we began to see what embedded community work looks like. It’s not about programmes delivered to people, but relationships built with them. We were also deeply moved by a youth who once belonged to the club, is now studying community development, and has returned as a volunteer - it showed us how investing in children early can inspire a lifetime of contribution. Earlier this year, TalentTrust completed an 8-month #Accelerator Project with 3Pumpkins. What began as a technical exercise - designing a staff performance evaluation process - quickly evolved into a deeper conversation about culture, team dynamics, and what performance truly means in a mission-driven organisation. The final staff retreat, shaped by mentor insights, reflected this shift: less about metrics, more about shared purpose and facilitation. This learning journey brought those lessons to life. It reminded us that: 🔹 Community change starts with presence - showing up consistently matters more than perfect plans. 🔹 Structures should serve relationships, not the other way around. 🔹 Impact is generational. The children of today can become the volunteers, advocates, and leaders of tomorrow. A heartfelt thank-you to Shiyun and Kah Yoke H. for welcoming us with such openness, and for modelling how creativity, trust, and collaboration can empower a neighbourhood from the inside out. ❤️💙💛 #TalentTrust #skillsbasedvolunteering #socialimpact #TTConnect Alice Pocklington Joyce Bijl Jonny Koo Fadillah A Rahman Priya Ravi Shreya Bhat Rene Aaliyah Masrudin

  • ✨ Closing a Powerful Majurity Masterclass 2025! ✨ As programme partner, TalentTrust was honoured to support this two-day journey of growth and reflection. Across the sessions, three critical leadership pillars came to life: 🔹 Organisational Alignment – syncing teams through shared values and synergy 🔹 Strategic Planning – charting clear, actionable roadmaps amidst complexity 🔹 Decision-Making as a Leader – balancing head and heart with confidence Leaders shared that while their teams often move quickly to serve beneficiaries, the masterclass reminded them of the value of pausing—taking time to understand their people and align needs before acting. This resonates deeply with us. We’ve seen how strategic planning creates clarity and how organisational alignment keeps every decision anchored in purpose. Speed matters, but sustainable impact comes from thoughtful planning and team engagement. A heartfelt thank you to The Majurity Trust for the partnership, and to our incredible speakers who generously volunteered their time and expertise to guide and inspire participants. Your insights brought these leadership pillars to life. Richard K., Kelvin Ho, Audrey Ong, Michele Huang, Saugato Banerjee, Angela Tan (ARTDIS (Singapore) Ltd), Richie Eu (Eu Yan Sang) and Kah Yoke H. (3Pumpkins), Saleemah Ismail (New Life Stories) Apriani Kartika (Maybank Singapore), Nic Lee, Stephen Keys, Lisa Gainer, and Priya Ravi The energy over these two days was inspiring—proof that when leaders learn together, the ripple effect of impact is profound. Here’s to building stronger, more resilient organisations and leaders! 💪🌟 Mental ACT Community Services, Rise & Thrive Initiative (previously Her Rise Above), Undifferent (a spin-off from Trampolene),The Astronauts Collective (TAC), Starfish Singapore, Break The Wheel SG, Healthy Tec, The Life Review, Colours Global Foundation (under Colours Global Group) , and Uplifters Photos by Within Studios, an initiative of The Majurity Trust. #MajurityMasterclass2025 #TalentTrust #capacitybuilding #SocialImpact #CommunityBuilding

At TalentTrust, we believe that skills-based volunteering isn’t just about giving back - it’s about building up. It’s about equipping social impact leaders with the tools, insights, and relationships they need to thrive. That belief came to life at the inaugural run of Unlocking Business Skills: Connect & Consult, UBS’ flagship volunteering programme in APAC last month. Together with around 100 UBS volunteers and 40 social impact partners, we co-created a space for deep listening, generous sharing, and real-time problem solving - from navigating strategy and risk to strengthening donor relationships and building resilient teams. The session highlighted just how universal many of these challenges are — and the power of breaking down barriers between corporate and social sectors. Our key takeaways: - Non-profit leaders face complex, high-stakes decisions daily. When paired with business professionals, they gain fresh perspectives and practical frameworks to lead with clarity. - Corporate and social sector challenges are more similar than we think. From cross-departmental coordination and data security to operations and stakeholder management - the issues may differ in scale, but not in kind. - Innovation and social purpose go hand in hand. Contrary to common misconceptions, social organizations are leveraging incubators, AI, and data science to stay ahead of emerging trends. Organizations - whether corporate or non-profit - must constantly ask, “What’s next?” That was just the beginning. This week, we move into Leadership Circles - intimate mentoring conversations between UBS senior leaders and social impact leaders, focused on mission-driven leadership. A heartfelt thank you to UBS for championing this effort - and to our inspiring non-profit partners for your openness, trust, and leadership. We're incredibly proud to announce the launch of 'Unlocking Business Skills', our flagship skills-based volunteer program at UBS Singapore, facilitated by TalentTrust   At UBS, making a positive social impact continues to be very close to our hearts, and we are thrilled to have this opportunity to combine our professional expertise with giving back to the community.   'Unlocking Business Skills' is a two-part initiative designed to harness the professional aptitude of our employees to support and strengthen our social impact partners. We kicked things off with the first segment, “Connect and Consult”, on 25 July that brought together close to 100 UBS volunteers and over 40 representatives from our community partners. Through meaningful conversations and the exchange of fresh perspectives, the event offered real-time problem solving and capacity building – from navigating strategic risk to strengthening donor relationships and building resilient teams.   A heartfelt ‘thank you’ to everyone who contributed your time and efforts to build connections and impart skills and knowledge to create positive impact. We look forward to continuing this journey with the upcoming segment “Leadership Circles” where senior leaders from both UBS and our partners will come together in a mentoring session aimed at fostering mutual learning and leadership development.   #ShareUBS #UnlockingBusinessSkills #SocialImpact #UBSVolunteers
