Great discussions at #HKFinTechWeek 2025! Our CEO Michelle Ip was invited to join an insightful panel alongside leaders from HSBC Hong Kong, PalmPay, and Ant International to explore how AI is reshaping cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and the protection of vulnerable users in the financial sector.
Michelle shared how Vulcan - Security for GenAI helps financial institutions “fight fire with fire” by using Vulcan Attack, 𝐀𝐈-𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞-𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 to simulate adversarial attacks, identify vulnerabilities in multilingual LLMs, and strengthen AI resilience before deployment. Complementing this, Vulcan Protect enforces 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥-𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 to prevent unauthorized interactions and ensure responsible AI use.
“Responsible AI isn’t just about avoiding data leakages,” Michelle emphasized. “It also means recognizing and mitigating harmful outputs, from drug or gambling content to self-harm and other societal risks to truly safeguard users.”
“GenAI-specific problems require GenAI-specific solutions,” she added. “Financial institutions must start carving out dedicated budgets for both AI tools and guardrails to ensure responsible, compliant, and secure adoption.”
As AI becomes mission-critical to financial innovation, 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭, 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 are essential to securing its responsible adoption.
🔒 Vulcan empowers enterprises to validate, monitor, and secure GenAI systems responsibly, aligning with OWASP® Foundation, MITRE ATLAS™, and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) AI RMF standards.
